Parents Take Aim At D.C. Law That Allows Minors To Get Vaccinated Without Parental Permission

D.C. parents are suing city officials over a new law that allows children 11 and older to acquire vaccines without permission from parents.

Four parents of students at several public schools — both traditional and charter — said giving children the autonomy to get immunized on their own violates parents’ rights and religious freedom, according to a July 12 lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Washington.

“All parents have a right to be directly involved in medical decision-making about their children,” said James Mason, an attorney representing the parents.

It is the second lawsuit brought in recent weeks by parents who want the federal court to strike down the law, which went into effect in March.

The D.C. Council voted 10-3 in November to allow minors to give their own consent for vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, even if a parent has filed a religious exemption.

It is unclear if or how the legal challenges will affect the city’s efforts to inoculate youth against the coronavirus before the next academic year starts.

A spokesperson for Mayor Muriel Bowser declined to answer specific questions about either lawsuit, citing the pending litigation.

Parental rights are being removed by Demonicrats.

Eventually it will be Demonicrats who decide if your child lives (and becomes some perverted gender) or dies.

I don’t want a ‘vaccination’ card.

I want an ‘immunized’ or ‘natural immunity’ card.

And the case will mysteriously be handed to an Obama appointee.

There is no way a child that young can make an informed choice.

Even among those with years of experience in the medical sciences there is still much controversy about the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.

One must remember that a vaccine/device/medicine is CLEARED by the FDA for sale in the US. The FDA does not generate the data themselves, it is up to the manufacturer or its sub-contractors.

“Your kids belong to the state. You’re lucky we even let you see them.”

That's certainly the Democrat attitude.

The public schools can take your daughter in for an abortion but a parent can’t send a couple of aspirins with their kid to school. Upside down world.

Hillary got the idea of “it takes a village to raise a child” from that saying in Africa (some role model for greatness).

All this time later they are about to rule officially that no parent has any rights over the schooling, gender selection or life path of any child.

When the Dems soon control the police (allowing national police only), the courts (packed SCOTUS), social media and TV news media and Google searches, plus the school systems and has a “D” for every mayor, council member, governor and the US House, Senate and President———who will be left to argue?
