A reader wrote in to ask, “How are the Democrats/left controlling social media and the news? I truly don’t understand how this is happening and would appreciate your thoughts.”
It did seem to happen almost overnight, didn’t it? It was as if all the chess pieces were in place to take over most popular methods of communication. But this has been at work in media for a long time, just as it has been on college campuses and in corporations that suddenly appear “woke,” arranged by people who want nothing less than to control us all. They plan to take down this country and establish what they want. They’re focused like a laser beam, and they’re well on their way to doing this.
It is 100 percent about power: they think that they, as the “virtuous,” the socially aware, are going to be on the winning side and get all the favors while the other half of the country, the “deplorables,” will be at their mercy. That, to them, is “justice.” The “reckoning.” And in order to stop this unraveling and repair the damage we first have to know what their mechanisms are.
Coincidentally, Fox News weekend host Pete Hegseth was on Life, Liberty & Levin on Sunday to talk with Mark about the imminent threat. Levin has a new book called American Marxism, in which he writes,

Maybe these people are liberal leaning without any help from government.

Has there ever been a civilization that survives without the support of the warrior caste? In America, one can be a member without being co-opted of the ruling class, thanks to the 2nd Amendment. Liberals may attempt to grab power but can they keep it?
When I moved to Atlanta in ‘72, my next door neighbor worked for WSB TV. This individual, pretty conservative, indicated that he never talked politics or had a comment on how any of his stories were edited or broadcast. The fallout would have jeopardized his job. After a later move, my next door neighbor was on air at CNN. This individual had worked on air at many of the large market big 3 network channels before landing at CNN. He indicated pretty much the same thing. If they thought you were too conservative you wouldn’t be hired, and if they found out that you were too conservative your career would be dead ended at best. No tolerance for any view outside the dogma of the left.

Ironic coming from Huckabee who was in the heart of the Beast at Fox News for so many years. He was as much a part of the effort to control the news as anyone else.
His show, like all the others, was an effort to distract and control. Hours spent on the pop culture outrage of the week with no time spent on the drive to socialism.
There are just 6 media companies that control 90% of what we see and hear. That’s how.
It’s not new.
If a Republican Senator drove a young woman off a bridge and to her death, the press would be completely different than what it was for Ted Kennedy.
More recently, imagine the press if Hunter Biden’s laptop belonged to Donald Trump Jr.
