Howdy, PRO.
Have a good weekend? Were you able to get out to do stuff or is the heat still keeping you and the A/C best friends? :-)
Howdy, luvie.
Had a good weekend? Temps creeping back up again?
Hot and steamy here with a few rain showers. There’s one going on now, pounding on the roof-stopping-pounding again. Weird.
Good evening, radu...a new Momma6 showed up yesterday. They are half grown, and unafraid. Momma may be an old faithful.
And a thunderstorm alert showed up, but for the Matsu. We will be lucky to get anything.
Hope you’ve recovered from your museum tours for 2 days.
I visited Robin and the pups today, haven't done much else except for shopping errands.
The A/C is blasting and keeping things cool, howz things your way? Any museum time?
Hey there, radu!
Actually, it was cooler [90] today than it was yesterday but the humidity was a bit higher. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be 90 and then cooler on Tuesday with the “promise” of rain. Yeah, right. Right now it’s 84.
That does sound like a strange rain pattern that you’re having, Is there wind with it that could be whipping it up and then down?
So cool that another momma has brought her brood to your house. Do the families show up at different times or do they show up at the same time? Just wondering how they’d mix together.
It doesn’t look like much chance of rain for you this evening. Bummer since rain would maybe clear out some of the haze.
We just had a shower after being by-passed all day. Showers that missed us just made it steamier here.
I’ve pretty much recuperated from the weekend. It wasn’t super busy at the museum and that helped. I just ended up on my feet too long yesterday because I bought fresh corn yesterday and needed to blanche and freeze it last night. Da feets still burn a little today.
Glad you were able to watch the fly-by, and the haze is a bore. I wish it would rain and clean this all up.
It’s 81 right now on my front porch, but I stay pretty still while working at the computer, and the big fan is doing a fine job. LOL!
Still hot and steamy here with an occasional shower. Typical July weather but we don't have to like it. LOL
Yup, worked Friday and Saturday at the museum and had fun with the people who showed up. Snapped a couple of pix yesterday of two poster-sized photos of General Patton that were brought in by the museum Board's secretary. One of Mark's wife's relatives took the photos when he was here during the Tennessee Maneuvers.
Absolutely...off to a great start with the Sunday Divine Liturgy!
I’m watching parts of the fly-by again on the regular Lake Hood stream. They set up a separate stream today for the fly-by and the angle wasn’t quite as good.
The haze made it difficult to see some of the light-colored planes at times.
Ugh! It’s still 81 degrees? Sitting in front of the fan is the best thing to do, no doubt. A rain shower to cool things off would be nice.
I see he's wearing his 2nd Armored Division patch.
He was quite an American hero and very instrumental in winning the War in Europe.
Cool pics of General Patton.
Regarding post #28, pictures I’ve never seen of then Major General Patton, FYI.
Ugh! It hasn’t cooled off much this evening, has it? We haven’t been that toasty this time of night even with the thick humidity we have.
Sure will be nice if you can get the rain they’re promising this week.
Some parts of TN have gotten over 2 inches of rain today. A few areas got nothing. I haven’t checked to see what we got a little while ago. No wind with the shower. Just heavy for a few seconds, then not so heavy, then heavy again, repeat, repeat.
Decent chances for rain the next two days but no cool temps. The sauna continues through the week.
It’s hard to believe the original photos are only 2” x 2”. How they managed to blow them up to poster size amazes me.
We were thrilled when Mark brought them in. They were taken about 5 miles from the farm. I knew there were thousands of soldiers at Camp Forrest but didn’t know there were encampments scattered around the area too. I’m still learning about the TN Maneuvers.
Gen. Patton was an American hero, most definitely.
