Vaccines are the great success of the pandemic. Americans should be celebrating these breakthrough innovations that U.S. industry produced at breakneck speed. But instead even vaccines are becoming another front in the culture war.
About 65% of Americans over the age of 12 and nearly 90% of those 65 and older have received at least one dose. Widespread inoculations have resulted in plunging cases, hospitalizations and deaths in recent months even as most states lifted their lockdowns and mask mandates.
Cases have fallen by some 90% and hospitalizations nearly as much since their January peak. Deaths are 95% lower, and hospitals have more room to admit less ill patients. Returns are diminishing on each new vaccination as herd immunity approaches, but the societal goal should still be to vaccinate as many adults as possible. The more vaccinations, the lower the chance that breakouts this fall and winter could burden the hospital system and result in lockdowns.
Most Americans believe the personal benefits from vaccination outweigh the potential risks. Governments haven’t needed to resort to coercion, though some have tried to prod people with financial incentives. Yet the question now is what to do about the third of Americans who haven’t been vaccinated, especially as the Delta variant spreads.
Experts have been guilty of overplaying the risk of new variants to justify lockdowns. But the Delta variant deserves special caution. It is estimated to be more than twice as contagious as the original strain. The Pfizer vaccine is also between 10% and 30% less effective in blocking transmission of the variant, though it still appears to be more than 90% protective against severe illness.

I envy Slovakia their free speech.
A similar billboard would never be allowed in the totalitarian US.
MY BODY MY CHOICE
LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE
FENCE IS ELECTRIFIED & OWNER HAS NO MORE PATIENCE.
I’m not a virologist but I know enough about the subject to wonder if there really IS a “delta variant” — or if the virus they describe is no different than something that should really be considered “COVID-22.”
All the same ... I'd be curious to see if someone could find some blood samples from ten years ago and run them through any of the COVID tests used widely in 2020 and today. I've got a cynical suspicion that a lot of those samples would test positive for this disease that supposedly didn't exist until late 2019 at the earliest.
Well done ... and informative. Cheers!
We are in a giant mind control experiment that is separating the wheat from the chaff.

Quite eye-opening at that.
Thanks for replying. I think too many people misunderstand the J&J vaccine. They think it’s “traditional”. Simply using a different method to force the body to make the S1 Spike protein creates similar issues. disabled adenovirus With an mRNA payload works about the same. Still a partial response to just one aspect/protein of the virus. There are many who think the S1 was a very poor choice to target the immune response.
See post 66 please.

they have wanted to "vaccinate" us for 20 years
“Someone should develop a traditional “dead virus” type Covid vaccine to appeal to the remaining 1/3”.
There is NO need for any “vaccine” of any type period.
Have you ever heard about Ivermectin? HCQ? Vitamin D? Vitamin C? Quercetin? Zinc?
Dr. Pierre Kory?
Check his credentials.

The one thing I don’t misunderstand about J&J is the use of a fetus.
“What could possibly go wrong?”
One of the top doctors in the world is now saying the “vaccine” has killed over 50,000.
“Dr. Peter McCullough, Professor of Medicine at Texas A & M College of Medicine in Dallas, TX, referred to the COVID vaccine jabs as “propagandized bioterrorism by injection” which resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 people in the United States.
In a recorded interview mentioned in a report from World View Weekend (WVW), Dr. McCullough was quoted as saying that “every single thing that was done in public health in response to the pandemic made it worse.”
He claimed that COVID was a bioweapon, and that the vaccinations were “phase two” of that bioweapon’s development...”
They use abortion material in either production or testing. It violates my beliefs.
True. My comment was more about the technology. I have an issue (my opinion) with the unnecessary use of fetal cell lines when umbilical cord stem cells could easily replace them. Seems like it is intentionally done to rub unsuspecting consumers nose in the abortion industry. Again, just my opinion.
Suspiciously, there is only one element that changes at a time.
The latest, in delta, was a modification of the spikes that makes them less vulnerable to antibodies.
I’m not sure what exactly the change into delta plus is, but it’s probably very similar to the first one called delta or it would have a new Greek letter. Probably more of the spikes altered or altered in a more effective way. It is only in India right now.
BeauBo seems to be saying now that it’s going to have to burn through many of the unvaccinated for us to ever be rid of this.
It's a stretch to say Bidet et al dreamt up releasing the virus on the world, shutdowns, Masks, distancing, rigged election, and messenger RNA shots to cause vaxx skepticism betting canvassers getting shot, all so they can ban guns.
I *do* think any isolated element of what I wrote may be a smoky, back room concoction. But the whole enchilada? I doubt it. But it helps sell newsletter subscriptions.
Maybe between it and expanded immunity from exposure to this new, highly infectious Indian variant, enough people will be immune to end this thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s about how I see it. The new variant might actually have some upside in getting more people immune at relatively low risk.
“The messenger RNA has messed with their minds. I’ve noticed a LOT of people behaving strangely, at work and at play. “
A number of psychiatrists are claiming the shot is making people belligerent, mindless, and short of personal control. I agree as does my wife who is one of those making the claim.
Right, the J&J can seem traditional at first blush but really isn’t.
I respect that but I'm wondering, did your doctor discussed Ivermectin with you? Mine cut me off at the knees when I brought it up. So I found another doctor, who had used it himself when he caught Covid.
