When Pope Francis first got his job he was actually kind of liberal about the TLM, but he’s gotten rigid.
Seems like the Pope flips flops on this one obscure issue over and over.

Parish churches are dying. The TLM is flourishing wherever it is instituted on a regular basis. This is only going to become more obvious over time as the TLM is "relegated" to its own churches.
This could be a boon for Western Rite Orthodoxy.
Most Antiochian W.R. parishes use “The Divine Liturgy of St. Gregory” which is very similar to the TLM, except for being in English.
It will be interesting to see whether Metropolitan Joseph authorizes or encourages Latin speaking missions.
I long for the day when there is an actual Catholic in the Papcy.

A papal decree published by the Vatican is all hat and no cattle; all sizzle and no steak. Some Bishops will ignore Bergoglio just as some Bishops ignored the decree from Pope Benedict XVI in 2007. Bergoglio’s insult of the Latin mass is like a US President insulting of the American flag. Rude and weak.

It’s starting to look like either Francis does not believe in God, or he believes he is greater than God. He certainly does not fear God.
