A Rhode Island middle school teacher says critical race theory is finding its way into public school classrooms and creating racial hostility and mistrust among her students.
Ramona Bessinger has been a public school teacher for more than two decades. For the past seven years, she’s been a middle school teacher in Providence. She currently teaches at Esek Hopkins Middle School. Over the years, Bessinger says her lessons have been diverse, running the gamut from poems by Maya Angelou to speeches by Martin Luther King, Jr. She’s also taught units on slavery and the Harlem Renaissance, she said.
"I consider the American story one of triumph," Bessinger told Fox News in an interview. "People overcome things … We are victorious. We are like the greatest nation on the planet. I feel very proud to be an American. And what is unique about this country is that we're diverse and we have cultural diversity. Maybe it's not perfect. It's there. And previous books that we had in the classroom represented that."
But Bessinger said there was an "alarming" shift that took place during the 2020-2021 school year regarding the implementation of a new, racially focused curriculum. Around January, she received boxes of new books for her classroom.
"I couldn't believe what I was seeing there, there were cartoon booklets, you know, all sort of sharing the same narrative," Bessinger said.

Yay Rhode Island! We seem to be starting a pushback here in our little state. Hopefully it catches on.
I just read today that Baldwin County just across Mobile Bay from me is bigger than your whole state.
Harding County New Mexico is twice the size of Rhode Island and only has 600 inhabitants. Go west for room to breathe.

The Dems could offer the blacks the opportunity for prosperity that Trump did. But they won’t. This CRT jaw jacking is all that they, or their slave-owning ancestors were ever willing to do.
It occurred to me the other day, that Hillary would choke down a rubber-chicken dinner at one of her fundraisers, thinking she was saving a nickel. Trump would insist on food he wanted to eat, even if he had to pay for it, himself.
It's a diversion from blacks learning how to solve problems by changing necessary behaviors (i.e. quit making babies before the "parents" themselves are grown, raise kids in two-parent homes, make wise career decisions, quit spending money on bling and sensationalist junk, etc.). The more blacks believe they're in a hopeless situation forever held down by whites, the less they'll strive for success for themselves and their loved ones.

Diverse? Sounds like all she teaches is black.
Take a drive from Dallas to El Paso, plenty of room to breathe in on that drive. From Pecos to the eastern edge of El Paso County, the speed limit on the interstate is 85 mph.
Another favorite area of mine is Southern Utah/Northern Arizona, one of the best areas in the world for star gazing.
I did that 55 years ago, stars all the way to the ground in every direction...it was awesome!

Look that one up; there is a college that has a translated version online.
(In case anybody is wondering, ‘The poisonous mushroom’ is a children’s book that was used in Nazi Germany to indoctrinate German children on how evil the Jews were.)
