Democratic leaders announced Wednesday that the special congressional committee created to investigate the Jan. 6 riot would hold its first hearing on July 27.
The hearing will feature testimony from police officers who were at the Capitol during the riot, according to The Hill.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the committee's creation earlier this month. She created it after the Senate blocked the Democrat-backed 9/11 style commission to study the riot.
Democrats have yet to announce how many or which of the officers will testify during the hearing. Approximately 140 law enforcement officers from both the United States Capitol Police and the Washington Metropolitan Police Department reportedly were injured during the riot.

If I may make a suggestion: perhaps we could start with testimony from the Capitol police officer who shot & killed an unarmed citizen in cold blood...
“Select Committee”....straight out of Page 28 of Mao’s Little Red Book....and Page 225 of Rules For Radicals.
That would be a good start! But, with seven democraps plus Liz Cheney, it would still amount to NOTHING. What a charade!

Will they ask why John Candy had a stronger perimeter defense of Walley World in National Lampoon’s Vacation than the Capitol police had? And who issued the stand down order?
Yes and stubbed toes.
There was no riot.
No burning, no looting, no riot.
We saw real riots all summer last year, so we know what they look like.
I don’t think Americans have become this brain dead yet.

I’ll bet none of the officers allowing people in will be
interviewed.

This is all a sham.
The ‘police’ will be simply reading from remarks prepared for them by the committee itself.
The capitol “riot” is pretty much the textbook definition of a “mostly peaceful protest” outside of Ashli being murdered by a cop. You had a few broken windows, some pushing and shoving, etc.
Dozens if not hundreds of BLM & antifa riots were far more violent and chorographed than what happened on 1/6. If only we had an opposition pointing that out on a daily basis...
Protests are legit, in their book. The WH stands by people who protest injustice.
