I hope you are right. I’m just about on Empty with the legal method of faith. It would be different if the Republicans were fighting back...but 3/4s of them are either spineless...or on the Deep State’s side.
“N” number of the airplanes?
Probably the one time Texas wished it had a state income tax, so even if the IRS won’t go after them the state could. Oh well.
Why does everything have to be a federal issue. These are state legislators. Let the state of Texas handle it.
Criminal? Absolutely.
Filled with petulant, spoiled children? Absolutely.
Great point. Never happen.
As we all know the Dems act on emotion and their being able to rid the system to their favor.
And, they’re not nearly as smart as they tell themselves they are.
Ergo, they would lose any and every debate.
🤔
Huge question, that. Broadly speaking, the left has, for the last century at least, pursued control of the federal government while attempting to expand its powers for one reason: that's the biggest lever of power in the country. It's the reason issues "reserved to the States" have been essentially co-opted by the federals - it's a nice tidy route to authoritarian government.
This has foundered, ironically, on the "sanctuary" movement among states that insist on continuing their support of illegal immigration over (rightful) federal intervention - it ended up bringing states' rights back to the fore. Those states that countered with sanctuary movements with respect to the 2nd Amendment and their own border control have solidified that as a central question in American government once again. It's been an issue since 1787 and it hasn't gone away.
To return such considerations into the hands of the states may well be the single overweening theme in the politics of the 20's, especially now that the federal front-end, illegitimate president and incompetent vice-president, have proven so incredibly weak. I'm guessing that's the new battleground. And the oldest one.
I may have missed something, but I’m just talking about these clowns from Texas. It’s a state issue. Let Paxton deal with it.
I do agree 100% about the acres taking over. They know they have control over damn near everything, so no one would stop them. There is a way to stop them, but America isn’t about that anymore.
No, you’re quite correct. It’s a state issue. Watch for the Dems attempting to make it a federal issue. It’s coming.
If I were boss I would order the sequestration of the airplane (or any other belonging to Ziad) that landed in Texas.
Agreed that the exodus by plane is not only a state issue.
Can someone here answer the “why” question?
The ‘WHO’ is Mr. Ziade, U.S. citizen with strong honorary Lebanon ties. He is a BIG shot, whose BIG conglomerate is “Growth Holdings”. Look it up - wow!
The ‘WHAT’ is an airplane(s) full of a few TX Dems.
The ‘WHERE’ is D.C. and TV cameras.
The big WHY?
1) Is Lebanon interested in profits from Growth Holdings in TX via Space X and/or Tesla (Elon Mosk) who apparently needs workers, housing for his workers, and perhaps some tax deals from Austin?
2) Are the ‘brave’ TX politicians being lobbied to make the road less bumpy for Mosk?
3) What does Ziade expect in return for his plane(s) and why is TX government now offering their own plane for return of the pawns, instead of Ziade’s plane(s) being on stand-by?
How much of the growing campaign contributions will be reported by the flying pawns?
If I had a huge profile, I would cut and run now before the flying farce spills over on to Growth Holdings.
I guess that makes the Texas Dem Caucus representatives of a foreign nation in Washington, representatives of Lebanon. I wonder if they have registered as foreign lobbyists or did they fail to do so like Paul Manefort and will they like Manefort get 2o years of so in jail after 2 years of solitary confinement?
Arrest him immediately. Treason to undermine the voting process of a nation.
Lebanon? Well, investigate if jihadi butchers Hezbollah’s bloody hands arn’t mixed in there too..
