Menendez: Biden Shouldn’t Restore Obama’s Cuba Policies, Which Benefited Regime and Caused ‘No Change’

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair Robert Menendez (D-NJ) urged President Joe Biden against returning to President Obama’s Cuba policies because they resulted in “absolutely no change inside of Cuba” but allowed the Cuban regime to “profit dramatically” from the revenues that flowed into the country.

Menendez said, “I think the president has had a time to review the actual policies under President Obama, and all of the openings that President Obama made, which were one-sided, unilateral, in terms of concessions, showed themselves to create absolutely no change inside of Cuba. The regime still arrested peaceful protesters.

The blind pedophile squirrel stumbled upon a nut. Biden surely will do just the opposite.

Menendez is a scum-bag from Union City NJ who dumped his wife as soon as he got to DC. Not only that he is a rat for the Fed and corrupt as the day is long.

The Big Guy said he’s willing to hold back at least his customary 10% from what the regime gets this time.

The US has had sanctions against Cuba of one type or another for about 60 years. The goal has always been to end communism. President Trump got serious about those sanctions. And now we see stirrings that could possibly lead to the end of communism. 60 years of effort finally coming to fruition.

I definitely expect Biden to throw it all away and to try and rescue the failing regime.

Isn’t it amazing how Democrats can manage to stay in office? They are total scum of the earth, yet, there they are, as rulers over us underlings. We aren’t much different from communist Cuba after all, are we?

Everyone knows that when dealing with the US, all you do is wait us out and try to make deals with the next administration... Cuba, Iran, China... all do the same thing.

They are corrupt oppressive regimes (waste a lot of human potential), economically inefficient, but they have one big advantage over us:

***they have time and consistency, a long term agenda,***

Whereas we change course every 4 - 8 years. Our political system lends itself to constant course changes (good and bad) and a lack of strategic vision past 3 years. Our true planning window is about 3 years - that’s it.

Example
Carter: Iran issue
Reagan: tough on Iran
Bush H.: tough on Iran
Clinton: weak on Iran
Bush W.: sorta tough on Iran
Obama: weak on Iran
Trump: tough on Iran
Biden: weak on Iran

Since the Ayatollah Khomeini assumed power, how has Iran’s agenda changed? It hasn’t. Their goals remain the same since 1980, their MO is the same, many of their leaders are the same (they have become far more capable and sophisticated compared to 1980, but it’s the same goal). It’s us that is flopping around changing how we deal with them constantly.
