United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby on Sunday predicted that the mask mandate for airline passengers will be allowed to expire in September.
In April, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) extended its mask order until September 13 for airports, airplanes, buses and railways.
Appearing on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday, Kirby told host John Dickerson, "My guess is that the current government order expires on September 13 and fingers crossed. My guess is it will expire on September 13, but we'll wait and see for sure."

United can keep their mask mandates forever. Most conservatives will simply avoid that stupid company.
Airline numbers are still in the gutter. Who wants to be treated like a diseased leper and face jail time for any little non-compliance???

In April a friend and myself were threatened by an angry Amtrak conductor with being thrown off the train for taking too much time to enjoy our drinks (water and coffee) without the mask. He said if he saw us again without it, he would put us both off at the next stop. Both of us are seasoned senior citizens who have been vaccinated.
Dim Wit Senator Patty “tennis shoes” Murray announced she will fight to keep the mask mandate in place for safety reasons.

.....our family is supposed go fly for the first time in a few YEARS....why is this stoooopid, useless, miserable mask mandate still around...? almost everyone we know has been fully vaccinated (not that we all wanted to, but just because we pretty much had to....)....what is so magical about September...? why not now... why not August....? jus’ askin’ ....
...and then it will come back with a vengeance.

You are right. September is the beginning of sick season every year. They are locking down Australia right now, we can expect the same as well.
I’m old enough to remember when airline travel was pleasant, when customers were valued and not assumed to be lepers or terrorists.
I was a little kid in the 1960’s a got to fly across the Atlantic and was given a cockpit tour before the flight. Can’t do that anymore.
The level of stupidity, gullibility and cowardice in America today is truly astounding ... breathtaking even. It really is!
I remember that. Did a lot of air travel for business back in the 80s. Frequently got upgraded to first class during a flight just because they had room up front.
Stewardess were very friendly and the passengers behaved themselves. Food was good back then too.
