Trump blamed getting COVID on Chris Christie and 'tried to duck' from his 'spittle' during debate prep, book says

Former President Donald Trump believed that he contracted COVID-19 last October from ex-New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, according to a forthcoming book by journalist Michael Wolff.

Shortly before Trump announced he tested positive coronavirus on October 2, he worked with Christie to prepare for the September 29 presidential debate against Joe Biden.

Trump, a self-described germaphobe, had "seen the spittle" come out of Christie's mouth and "tried to duck from the droplets" as they sat across from each other at practice debate sessions, Wolff wrote in his book, "Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency."

Trump later blamed his exposure to COVID-19 on Christie, who tested positive around the same time as him and battled the virus for a week in the ICU.

I can definitely see that. Christie is a pig.

I can’t really debate weight; I have a few extra pounds (what it says on my dating site! LOL). But I’m not a public figure.

It says a lot about a person’s self-control when they are in public and look like a sweating mess with a wrinkled suit.

Heck, even Lori Lightfoot, my birth city’s (Chicago) mayor got her hair done in the midst of the lockdown because, “I’m out in the public all the time” and she needs to look good.

Sorry Lori, nothing you can do to fix your ugly face.

If it came from Kristy Kreme then those droplets were more like tidal waves. Just imagine the industrial sized toilet that guy needs in his home.

The only part of this tripe is that Trump was a serious germaphobe at one time. Wouldnt even shake hands.

Someone once posted a compare/contrast thing with pics of leftist women and conservative women.

Invariably, the liberals looked angry and ugly, basically spinsters with no one to ... can’t say what I would like to, but I think you all get the idea.

But conservative women are usually very pretty. Kristi Noem is lovely. I know she lost some conservative cred with the transgender issue; I don’t know if she was right, but I assume she had advice from lawyers and made that decision based on the information she had.

It’s just like with any president; they can’t know everything (except for Trump!). So they rely on the best information they get from their advisors.

I also wish him well in his lawsuit. I am afraid, though; I have a feeling that the best lawyers in America are afraid to represent him, for fear of losing their jobs or being shunned in some way. I think that’s why his challenges to the election just didn’t work out the way we all hoped it would.

I just wish him good health and as much golfing, rest and relaxation, and intimacy with his gorgeous wife, in the years before 2024. If he doesn’t run, I’d happily vote for Don Jr.

That’s true.

Have you seen The Aviator? Excellent movie. I think Leo diCaprio (?sp?) played Howard Hughes. He just got crazier and crazier as the years went by.

Speaking of Business Insider...

For my entire life, Big Business and Wall Street has been in the Republican Party's pocket. In return they got favorable tax legislation and policy. Today, they still have favorable tax law but have aligned with the left.

What happened?

Trump and his WH were likely intentionally infected with covid right before the election by the alphabets. Trump may have joked about getting it from fat boy but that’s about it.

It wasn’t “spittle” coming from Christie’s mouth, it was a combination of bad advice, ham chunks, and donut crumbs.

The toothbrush episode! Very funny.

Nothing wrong with not liking germs. I wash my hands the minute I get home. Before and after touching food and of course, in the bathroom. I can’t remember the last time I had a cold.

I have to watch comedy every day. An ep of Friends or Seinfeld; sometimes the classic “dramedy,” Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

My Canadian husband is always referring me to oddball British comedies. I just don’t find them funny. The Brits have a sort of quiet humor. Maybe Americans just like things big and loud.

Except for Chris Christie. Who is on my mind since Trump believes Christie infected him with Covid by spitting on him. I can believe that.

Liberals refuse to believe it, but I cannot think of one instance where Trump has been wrong.

The left-wing ideology of corporate executives is a by-product of left-wing colleges and universities (IMO).
