The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identified the more contagious delta variant as the most dominant strain in the United States, comprising the majority of cases in the country for the two weeks ending Saturday, July 3. The prevalence of the delta variant, B.1.617.2, jumped significantly from June to the beginning of July, going from comprising 30.4 percent of the cases in mid-June and jumping to 51.7 percent for the two weeks ending in early July.

I read the article and it's not mentioned at all how many cases the numbers represent. So the stats don't mean that much. We had 49 cases reported in WI yesterday, out of a population of 5.8 million - wow ! /s

Even when the CDC's own data shows no impact to children, serious impact to pregnant women, no mask efficacy, etc....those data fail to shape policy.

...speaking if flying.... we are supposed to fly “back East” in a couple of weeks after many many months of not flying... was hoping the CDC or the TSA* (whichever miserable federal agency has sway over such things....) to lift those stooooopid mask mandates at airports and on flights... I guess not now.....
