When Biden declares ‘independence’ from covid on July 4, he owes more credit to Donald Trump
Washington Post ^ | July 2, 2021 | Opinion by Jim Inhofe

When President Biden declares the United States’ “independence” from the covid-19 pandemic on July 4, he should give credit where it’s due: former president Donald Trump and the Trump administration program that made it possible, Operation Warp Speed — which gave us the world’s most effective coronavirus vaccines in record time.

In March 2020, life as we knew it abruptly stopped — no church, no family gatherings, no restaurants, no movies, no offices, no sports … and nowhere to go. The pandemic has been devastating. Too many died, and even more fell ill. Within two weeks after a pandemic was declared, more than 54 million American children were out of school, and 30.3 million Americans filed for unemployment in the month that followed.

At the time, few believed life could return to normal without a vaccine — and even fewer believed that a vaccine would soon be available. Yet President Trump knew that the United States couldn’t afford to wait. His administration established Operation Warp Speed, charged it with making a vaccine available by the end of 2020, and appointed the exceptionally capable Gen. Gustave Perna to run the logistics effort.

The Operation Warp Speed approach was straightforward yet unprecedented: Warp Speed invested in five vaccine candidates and contracted to buy a sixth. Previous research into coronaviruses enabled vaccine trial phases to be condensed, and 30,000-person Phase III trials commenced within months. Finally, as the vaccines were being tested, Warp Speed ramped up production and distribution plans, so vaccines would be available and ready to ship as soon as they were emergency-approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Despite this brilliant strategy, many Democrats didn’t believe that Operation Warp Speed would succeed — and, worse, cast doubt on the viability, safety and efficacy of vaccines...

From the article: “Despite this brilliant strategy, many Democrats didn’t believe that Operation Warp Speed would succeed — and, worse, cast doubt on the viability, safety and efficacy of vaccines...”

Funny thing, many posters here on Freerepublic who are not democrats constantly deride the vaccines calling them poison and insisting that millions more will die from the vaccines than the virus.

These anti-vaxxers have no coherent explanation of why Donald Trump would develop a ‘poison’ and encourage his followers to inject that ‘poison’ in their arms.

Yep, Operation Warp Speed crushed the CCP Virus and is one of Trump’s greatest accomplishments.

The Dems are very good at disinformation operations to take the credit for these things.

It’s similar with emancipation and civil rights. Like Warp Speed these were Republican initiatives opposed by Dems, but as soon as they succeed the Deep State unleashed their info warriors among conservatives to steal the credit and make them seem like liberal accomplishments.

Jim probably couldn’t wrap his head around the extreme possibility that the media’s ungodly hype and hysteria over the virus was just another part of their four-years-long effort to get rid of President Trump for their Democrat bosses.

“We have an assistant secretary of health who has a mental disease and parades as a female, a senile walking cadaver pretending to be a president, and these clowns are worried about this?”

just how effective are they when many thousands who got “vaccine” have gotten and died of covid anyway and or died soon after/related to getting the jab?

We're at war with the Deep State Cabal. As CIC, faced with a looming Great Reset, forced lockdowns (like Australia had/has) and finally forced vaccinations, made a tactical choice for the lesser of two bad options: Warp Speed caused the jabs to be experimental. That circumvented the forced lockdowns and being "experimental" and basically in a trial period, individuals have the choice - take the jab or not.

The vax's still are "poison", not the kill you immediate type, but cumulative and necessitating boosters, and then new variants to justify periodic never-ending vax's.

ok, some how I copied in wrong quote above.

“which gave us the world’s most effective coronavirus vaccines”

again, just how effective are these shots when so many died related to getting them or after getting shots and then getting and dieing of covid19?

As if DJT never stepped in a pile of self-made poop? Any of us who are honest could make a list of dozens of people he appointed to his cabinet, starting with Pence, that shouldn't have been allowed near the MAGA movement. If you like your vaxx, enjoy it and make sure you get ready for a steady stream of boosters.

Talk about hypocritical... Joke Xidon does every thing possible to sink the country and then co-opts Independence Day to blabber incoherently about how great he is.

I'm not aware of Donald Trump producing or testing any vaccines.

Maybe you could provide a "coherent explanation" of how/when he did that.

You could be the first.

This is the part where the vaxxers play stupid and pretend not to know the difference between a push to get a vaccine out to the most vulnerable people at a time before the danger of the pandemic became fully known and a nationwide push to have everyone injected with it after its threat had been greatly diminished through the evidence of survivability.

There is a lot of overlap between the Qultists and the anti-vaxxers. It’s so tiring at this point.

Trump deserves a lot of credit for the great vaccines being available so quickly. Smart people recognize that.

You lack all honesty if you claim that Donald Trump didn’t develop the vaccines and didn’t insist his followers get the injections.
Now please explain why Trump would develop a ‘poison’ disguised as a vaccine and use that ‘poison’ to kill off his followers.
