PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — A star Florida high school quarterback playing for a Georgia university died after more than 50 gunshots were fired into the car he was driving.
Ladarius Clardy, 18, was found dead with several gunshot wounds before dawn Thursday after the vehicle he was driving crashed at a Pensacola intersection. Local news outlets report an unnamed 19-year-old passenger underwent surgery for gunshot wounds Thursday at a Pensacola hospital. The passenger’s condition was unknown early Friday.
Clardy was attending Kennesaw State University in suburban Atlanta, where he had played in several games.
Clardy’s father is a longtime youth football coach in the Florida panhandle city. His son was also remembered as a strong student and peer leader.
“He had it all,” former Pine Forest head coach Jason McDonald told the News Journal. “From elementary to middle and high school, you couldn’t say enough about him. Great kid in the classroom, hard-worker. He was a natural-born leader.”

Prediction of his future. Sad.
It used to be you got a tattoo to stand out.
Now you get them to fit in.
Ink means nothing was taken out of context or maybe my failed attempt to state with respect to criminal perpencity someone’s ink means nothing. What you say is true. This is why my daughter and I wear it proudly.
Coach Bohannon made a faux pas statement. Ex qb was not deeply “missed.”
Let me guess...he had it all...but got destroyed by alcohol, marijuana, psychotropic drugs, gangs , girls, and money.
Oh, yeah, he had it all. Tragedy.
No mention of calibers ...
Did you think that I was trying to imply that Ink=Crime? I hope not. While I have a deep appreciation for your service to our country I’m struggling to understand why a father would encourage his 18 year old daughter to do this.
I have a few accomplishments in my life to be quite honest when I got my black belt thought about getting one glad I didn’t. But hey it’s your call not mine but you did put it out there in a public chit-chat forum.
Thank you for your reply.Hopefully the day will come(doubt it), when everyones’ spoken or written words carry sincere truth.
I think you’re asking too much there. I doubt the author of the article even understands that there’s a difference.
Hopefully the fad is going away. I do see less and less of young folk with tattoos...it has meaning to many, but is now ubiquitous, and it has become societal “background noise.” Like a bumper sticker, or message t-shirt, or a nose ring, or purple hair....
I didn’t encourage it and even tried to talk her out of it. However that’s like having a smoker parent tell his kids, “ that’s bad for you and you shouldn’t do it.” When she got it I was fully understanding. Hers is in remembrance of a dear friend who lost her life at 15 to cancer.
Post of the day...Well done!
“Ladarius Clardy”. Ladarius? Is that a “white” name?
Is that “a raciss Black name, because I won’t be called one of those raciss white names like Clarence, Thomas, Martin, James, Harriet, Shirley, George, Mary, Ida, Michael, Phillis, Arthur, Michelle, Richard, Ralph, Stevie, Paul, Gordon.
Just to name a FEW FAMOUS BLACK PEOPLE with so-called “white” names.
The ONLY reason these “so-called” “African” or “Black” names are given to Black children is because these “Black” parents are RACIST!
They won’t give their “Black” child a so-called “white” name. RACISM, plain and simple. RACISM on display.
“Whites aren’t the “racists”, Blacks/AAs are the racists.
I have NEVER thought of myself as “white”.
Do I notice that Blacks/AAs are “Black”? (darker skin color)? Of course, I’m not BLIND.
Do I notice that Asian people are “yellow”? NO! Where on earth did “that” come from?
Do I notice that “feather” Indians are “red”? NO! Where on earth did “that” come from?
Do I notice that “dot” Indians have dots in the middle of their foreheads? YES! I’m not BLIND.
All these things are just “observations”. NOT RACIST!
Just by “noticing” the OBVIOUS, you are raciss.
Black women don’t wear wigs and weaves to look more “white”!
They just don’t like their frizzy hair! Blacks have “frizzy” hair. It’s not racist to say so or to notice.
I have GREAT hair! (blessed by God) MANY “white” men have NO HAIR! Is “baldness” raciss? Seems to be a lot more BALD “white” guys. Just sayin’.
I'm from the generation where men had tattoo's and women had earrings. Now it's the other way around.
