PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — A star Florida high school quarterback playing for a Georgia university died after more than 50 gunshots were fired into the car he was driving.
Ladarius Clardy, 18, was found dead with several gunshot wounds before dawn Thursday after the vehicle he was driving crashed at a Pensacola intersection. Local news outlets report an unnamed 19-year-old passenger underwent surgery for gunshot wounds Thursday at a Pensacola hospital. The passenger’s condition was unknown early Friday.
Clardy was attending Kennesaw State University in suburban Atlanta, where he had played in several games.
Clardy’s father is a longtime youth football coach in the Florida panhandle city. His son was also remembered as a strong student and peer leader.
“He had it all,” former Pine Forest head coach Jason McDonald told the News Journal. “From elementary to middle and high school, you couldn’t say enough about him. Great kid in the classroom, hard-worker. He was a natural-born leader.”

I agree. It’s possible, but very unlikely that this is just some random wrong-place-at-wrong-time situation. I’m not suggesting that he deserved the terrible violence that befell him, but it seems people his age have a naive restlessness and get themselves into situations they couldn’t see coming.
He was in the shotgun formation.
I would like to see longitudinal outcomes across social determinantes of health domains for people named “Ladarious” versus those named “William”, “Zachary” or “joshua”
Ghetto culture needs to be completely dismantled. We’ve thrown trillions at it for 55 years and it EXACERBATED the problem exponentially. Time for another approach.

What’s “ink” have to do with anything? My 18 year old daughter has “ink” as does pops. She graduated a month ago and started her new job at a commercial construction company the day before she graduated.
Ink means nothing. Additionally I find it hard to believe this kid even had a criminal past given he’s a starting QB at a university. Early morning judging at its best.

Whose neighborhood is going to be burned to the ground, how many more “food deserts” are going to be established because of rampant endemic racism?
Could be they were after his friend.
The most dangerous place for young black males is to be near other young black males.
