Teachers nationwide said K-12 schools are not requiring or pushing them to teach critical race theory, and most said they were opposed to adding the academic approach to their course instruction, according to a survey obtained by NBC News.
Despite a roiling culture war that has blown up at school board meetings and led to new legislation in statehouses across the country, the responses from more than 1,100 teachers across the country to a survey conducted by the Association of American Educators, a nonpartisan professional group for educators, appeared to suggest that the panicked dialogue on critical race theory made by lawmakers and the media does not reflect the reality of American classrooms.
“We’re saying, ‘What is the fuss about?’” said Lynn Daniel, a ninth-grade English teacher in the Phoenix area. “We don’t get it. This objection is being pushed upon us, and it’s not even happening in our classes. I don’t understand it.”
The association surveyed its professional membership between June 24 and June 29 and received 1,134 completed responses, nearly 900 of them from traditional public schools. More than 96 percent said their schools did not require them to teach critical race theory, and only 45 percent said that teachers should have the option to add it to their lesson plans.
Critical race theory is an academic study at the undergraduate and graduate level that aims to examine the role of racism in the modern era and the ways it has become woven into the social fabric. Academics in the field argue the U.S. has institutionalized a racial caste system.

“First rule of CRT: ‘Don’t talk about CRT.’”
Liar, liar, pants on fire!!!
Just like the border crisis, deny deny deny.
With the MSM on your side sweeping inconvenient things under the rug, you can actually just deny things and get away with it.
“...only 45 percent said that teachers should have the option to add it to their lesson plans”
The critical race theory propaganda is very carefully covered up, and it is never called that in the course work syllabus. But it is there, with “plausible deniability”, slipped in among the math problems, and in the selections for reading that are required in the language arts classes, and even in that little bit of history that is allowed to still be taught in the classroom. Various exercises in “role-playing” are also included as part of the “socialization” program, and even in the physical education classes.
People of color good, white supremacists bad. The mantra is there in the background, even if rarely enunciated.
Any parent or any politician who thinks they prevent/outlaw CRT is an ABSOLUTE IDIOT. Our ‘education’ system has adopted it and will use whatever deceptive power needed to implement it (starting with denying it).
There is literally NO WAY to stop it at this point other than totally UPROOTING our schools, throwing out the teachers and everyone else involved with the schools, and starting over. Basically do exactly what Reagan did with the Air Traffic Controllers - completely gutting the existing controllers, and replaced them with un-poisoned people.
...and do we hear ANYONE talking about doing that? DeSantis, Noem, anyone?
They will deny that it is happening for years. Then, at some point, they will say, “Well, of course this is widespread! Why are you surprised?? We’ve been doing this for years!!”

“Un-poisoned” people obtained where?
Liars telling us lies about what the other liars are lying about..
Lying to C.Y.A.!!!
“Un-poisoned” people obtained where?”
For starters, Thomas Sowell would eliminate anyone with any type of ‘Education Degree’, which is now the ticket that most ‘teachers’ use to get into our schools.
So, for high school, require a 4 year degree, but prohibit the above. For math/science, obviously require a STEM degree.
Next you’d look at people with 2 year degrees, at least for K-8 grades - that’s all that’s needed (except maybe a bit more for some math classes).
There are something 70 million retiree (and near retirees) in this country...a HUGE POOL of future teachers. They’d love the work schedule and all of them were educated decades ago.
Finally, we could even import teachers - as long as they speak English they would be FAR BETTER than the ‘Americans’ we now have in front of our kids.
Foxes claim nothing to see in hen house.
It’s happening in UVA’s Master’s in Education program........
But UVA has been a Marxist center for decades, ages.....
Sure there is. Ban teachers unions and get rid of the Dept. or Education. Tell teachers that if they still want to tech, these are the new ground rules. Teachers unions will bitch and protest, but they are outnumbers 500 to 1 by parents pissed at the crapass way they do their jobs in educated. They seemed obsessed with teaching everything but reading, writing and arithmetic! Seeing how the US is at the bottom of country's with truly educated children, they really have no standing. They need to be erradicated and teachers need to be tested on what the hell they are teaching, to see if they actually can teach. Indoctrination degrees from collages don't count anymore. Time for hardcore accountability.
CRT is not an academic study. It is a wet dream.
Don’t believe anything you read anymore.
Using the term “CRT” is a dodge.
They are teaching anti-white propaganda, and they are doing it everywhere and constantly.
Call it by its right name.
Neo-Mau-Mau, the OG version killed more Kikuyu and other tribes than white setllers by a factor of 4 plus IIRC
Ton-Ton-Macoute was tightly organized.
Tutsi/Hutu, Estimates for the total death toll (including Hutu and Twa victims) are as high as 1,100,000.
just sayin’
I’m sure they follow their marching orders on CRT just like they did for common core.
