Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, the chief scientist at the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), warned Monday that the pandemic is not over and said it is not yet time to return to normal and “encourage a lot of social mixing.”
Speaking to CNN on Monday, Swaminathan warned of the virus variants and emphasized the importance of realizing that the pandemic “is not over.”
“Everyone should recognize that this pandemic is not over. … It’s not that we can’t travel or do anything, but this is really not the time for us to encourage a lot of social mixing, to encourage mass events, especially without precautions, wherever you live in the world because these variants, you know, they travel around the world even before you recognize there’s a new variant,” she said, urging people to remain “very cautious.”
“I think this is the time still to be very cautious and we should remember that a large part of the world still doesn’t have enough vaccines even to protect their most vulnerable people, and we need to be getting vaccines out to them,” she continued, noting that some vaccinated people will end up in the hospital due to the variant virus spread but assuring that “the majority of vaccinated people who get the infection will be mild, will be asymptomatic, is not going to require this kind of intensive care that we’ve seen.”
Last week, W.H.O. officials began urging vaccinated individuals to wear masks again over variant concerns.
W.H.O director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Friday said the rise of virus variants makes it “even more urgent that we use all the tools at our disposal.”

I believe one result was to keep our immune systems in use.
Strange enough, I got sick with what I thought was covid in Jan-feb 2020. I haven’t gotten sick once since then.
It is the new horse to ride in pushing their agenda of fear, control and manipulation of the population to further their goal of a socialist/communist revolution.
They started last spring with their "two weeks to flatten the curve" plan and have exploded it into an 18 month long nightmare of mask wearing, social distancing and lockdowns, and most recently vaccines, to save the world from death and destruction.
They will stretch this covid pandemic out as far into the future as they can to sharpen their skills at tyranny and totalitarianism. They will use it as an excuse for more mail-in ballots to cheat with in the elections and to destroy our capitalist economy which they want to replace with socialism and communism.
Just as global cooling, then global warming, then climate change and now climate crisis is still being pushed with new names and iterations by the globalist Left, so will the virus pandemic scam.
It will be around for years and decades to come. Bank on it.

Exact same time my wife and I had the worst plague of our lives (she works in the econ department with mostly Chinese grad students who had just returned from China). Took months to clear out our lungs.
Gave blood in April and the Red Cross Covid-19 antibody test came back positive.
It’s social isolation, not social distancing.
Just the latest attempt to stop church services, Trump rallies, Independence Day celebrations, shooting matches, and other celebrations of fraternity and thankfulness.
