Winng friends in the community that supports them. Less suppprt everyday lately.
The original way I heard this was that the murderer had killed the Concealed Carry guy.
It’s not a good idea to hold the gun of the murderer, if that was the case, here.
No good deed goes unpunished. :(
I think it’s unconscionable that a government employee can shoot someone - justified, unjustified or indeterminate - and the name of that shooter not be released to the public as quickly as possible (like the next morning).
The public right to know FAR outweighs any concern for police privacy...or even safety. It’s wrong that Ashli Babbitt’s shooter remains unknown and it’s wrong this shooter’s name is not known.
Shoot, survey and holster... Unless you shot a lot and your barrel is very hot. In that case. Clear, ground and back up.
“he was brutally ambushed and murdered by someone who expressed hatred towards”...
...Citizens who weren’t asked to produce vaccination papers.
This why ccw people should reconsider doing things like this unless they can do so from a more hidden position, then get the hell out of there and either go to a police station after calling their attorney, or just vanish if they can do that.
otherwise if your life isn’t in direct danger, don’t even do it. ccw folks are not cops and we should never presume to take on that role. Everyone else there that day made their own choices whether to be armed or not. We should not have to play police for everyone who is unarmed, only to be looked at by cops as the thug and shot to death.
you want protection? carry. be responsible for yourself.
If the hero has family a Go Fund Me page should be started for him. I assume the Police take care of family members of their own.
I didn’t know that merely holding a firearm in public is grounds for being shot dead by a cop.
Hindsight is 20/20.
I know these decisions are split-second. I have to ask, are cops trained to ask suspects to 'drop their weapon' or are they told to shoot the person they see holding a weapon without assessing the situation?
this....
Sounds like the second cop shot first without asking any questions or giving the guy with the gun an opportunity to be taken in custody.
It is an especially dangerous time when states legalize open/concealed carry while too many of their cops still freak out and fill their diapers at the sight of a firearm. Idiot cops will demand permits and ID when no such thing is needed. Or they’ll arrest or shoot people who exercise their new rights. Plenty of video of such idiocy on the net.
Way to go dipsh*t. Cop needs to be fired and sued by the family.
Probably protecting a woman or minority cop.
Bump! The cop that shot the good guy needs to do serious prison time (life) or be executed himself. Put me on his jury!
The Police do not give a damn if you support them or not. They have the guns and as this poor soul found out the hard way, the willingness to use them. Anyone who believes the Police are on our side [whatever that means] when they get the orders to round us up is in for a rude awakening. It was the Local Police who in World War 2 rounded up the Jews when ordered. And turned them over to the SS. But keep believing that the Police are on your side. When the ball goes up, the Police will do as they are told.
