The data comes from death certificates filed from local medical examiners.
Interesting. What I have yet to see is a state-by-state breakdown of those deaths and a comparison, by state, with previous years. Based on what you say, that information should be easily available. Where is it? I have looked on a variety of state health department websites and I have not been able to find it to date.

they are experimental simply because we have no mid- or long-term safety data. in a few years we will, presumably...
it is not unreasonable to ask what undisclosed or unknown effects might be observed years down the road. normally, even a conventional vaccine has to have years of safety testing in primates before being approved.
