You don’t know anything about the situation that the officer encountered. None of us do. That’s why I’m not commenting on it.
The officer could have acted reasonably, the officer could have acted incompetently. It is utter hubris to pretend to make any pronouncement on the situation without all of the facts and a thorough inquiry.
The mere fact that you would make a categorical statement at this point demonstrates your ignorance, despite your pathetic attempt to appeal to your own “authority” and claim to fame, all while disparaging units and services in the armed forces.
Far too many Marines tend to act like you do. Perhaps you should go back to eating crayons.

I will not debate with those who make statements such as you have that “the cops today are only interested in getting themselves home safely and “civilian heroes” will be executed if they get in the way of that objective”.....and are “ trigger-happy and below-average intelligence”.....which are ridiculous statements.

There is no “argument.” There is no “debate.” There never was one. You just came on here and made a bunch of Rambo claims about being a “Combat Marine” and you did it in such a manner that calls into question your credibility.
You disparaged the other services. You made outrageous claims that aren’t backed up by history or reality, and you made a snap judgment about a situation that no one has the facts about.
You also seem to have an over-inflated sense of worth in addition to your lack of credibility.
I have 27 years in the Marines, including 17 months in combat as an enlisted Marine, the almost a year in the hospital recovering from wounds received. Served as a commissioned officer for 23 of those years and commanded an artillery battalion towards the end.
My comments about the other services are based on experience - sometimes bad experience.
Have dealt with many police departments and agencies, some good, some exactly as I described.
You happy with the way police are handling things these days?

The Whole of the “Justice [Legal] System” is best avoided, if at all possible. Cops included.
