The Biden administration said Thursday that it would extend the temporary bans on evictions and foreclosures for another month as the country continues to rebound from the coronavirus pandemic.
The announcement comes as some states have struggled to spend the $21.5 billion in emergency rental aid included in the American Rescue Plan earlier this year, allowing states an additional month to work through a crush of applications and distribute the money before the funds expire.

%$%$%W@#@^&&!!!
Never has the US Treasury been so thoroughly looted.
So we can rent one of the myriad of houses bought up by big financial firms like Blackrock, have all our friends over every night to party, and then terminate the lease at the end of the month?
Under what authority? Courts have already ruled that the CDC exceeded their authority with such bans.
So people who don’t pay their bills will get them paid by the government. But the people who did without to pay bills, i.e. been responsible, will get nothing.
No one will ever want to own rental properties again, except the government.
I guess that’s the idea.
By what authority? This seems to be a simple case of the Government violating the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment.
How stupid are homeowners who paid off their mortgages to live rent free.
Free except for the $12k yearly property tax and all the permits and fines and regulations and...
And the Constitutional authority for this is.................................
I do not think the government is paying anyone’s rent under this program.
The federal gov’t is just preventing evictions if the tennant does not pay. Once this ends, tennants will have to pay back-rent.
That is going to cause a huge housing collapse as building owners go bankrupt and try to recover by selling their properties.
Do not be surprised if the Politburo tries to create a federal program to buy up housing to prevent a collapse under the guise of “compassion” for those that would be homeless otherwise.
This has all been designed to help collapse our economy and society so they can restructure us into a socialist utopia.
Commies go after landlords first.
When there are few rental houses in a few years, I’m pretty sure it’ll be because white supremacy... won’t have anything to do with losing your financial butt by housing non payers.
So it’s okay for renters not to pay rent? So the rentor has to suffer instead? What of their financial responsibilities? What will those people who rent are kicked out because the institution that owns the houses/apartment build forecloses?
I submitted my tenants application on the 1st of March, I still have yet to be paid, however the dashboard on my account now says reviewer approved, ready for payment, it will be for 13 months of back rent.
See my post#16
No legal authority to do so.
I don’t fully understand the program...so does your tenant apply and then the money he/she has not paid you for all these months comes to YOU or is sent to your tenant for them to pay you?
Think about it, for a moment.
Extend the eviction moratorium.
Landlords/property owners get tired of dealing with the nonsense.
Those same landlords/property owners put the properties up for sale.
Enter Blackrock, buying up every house they can get their greedy mitts on.
Nothing like have the government do your dirty work for you.
