OK, I’ll add to the conspiracy theories. Was some one or some residents of that building due to give a sworn deposition against the Clintons or otherwise connected to Bill and Hillary?

Certainly not impossible, but IMV highly unlikely. This looks more and more like a tragic accident and is almost certainly a combination of structural/construction failures + land subsidence.

The old-fashioned way to build tall building on the beach was to build many platforms with poles going into the ground and then set the building on the platforms to distribute the weight. That was in the 1950s. There may be a better way now.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. I live on the western edge of the Niagara Escarpment. A lot of limestone quarries, everything resting on bedrock is on limestone. Even blasting in some areas to put in sewer and water. Never heard of the issues you describe, but then we don't get nearly as much rain as they do in southeast Florida. Also the limestone composition may be different, as well as exposures to salt water. I find geology to be very interesting.

I take it from your handle that you scuba dive. My wife, two of our kids, and myself will be in the Keys (weather permitting) to do some reef diving this August. I spent a week diving there maybe 25 years, it was a great time. I also did a dive in the cavern at Ginnie Springs, that was pretty cool as well.

I have a Jewish friend whose aunt and uncle are missing presumed dead in that building. The uncle held two fundrasiers for Trump in Miami and Hollywood and one for DeSantis in Surfside. He visited the White House with Dr. Zelenko. His name is Andruisier. About 25 of the 99 missing are Orthodox Jews of the Chabad variety. Their support for Trump was higher than any other religious or ethic segement in the 2020 election. However I am sure there are also atheist fake Jews who also live in the area and are as Marxist as other leftist Jews. Debbie Downer's district covers a huge swath of the area, not just Surfside, as you know.
