A substantive majority of Americans said they are “somewhat concerned” about inflation and about four out of 10 people believe the government might not be able to rein it in, according to a new poll released Tuesday.

Eighty-five percent said they are “somewhat concerned” and of that group, 45 percent said they’re “very concerned” about inflation, The Hill reported on Tuesday, citing a Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.

The Labor Department’s consumer price index showed that inflation has risen 5 percent since last May — a 13-year high — as companies struggle to keep up with a surge in demand following the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.

With the criminals in Congress scheming to print $2 Trillion for boondoggles, paybacks, and patronage, they should be very concerned.

I wouldn’t worry until at least 90% are concerned

If the GOP would campaign on PUTTING A STOP TO THE RUNAWAY INFLATION for the mid-terms (even if they can’t do much about it), it would be helpful, IMHO.

People are concerned about whatever the media tells them to be concerned about.

I’m not concerned about something that happens in cycles and has my entire life. I simply adjust and make money off it, like always.

I miss President Trump! At least he was trying to save America; while Biden is an idiot and caves to enemies of America (those enemies include Democrat liberals).

Of course people are concerned. The Federal Government is printing un-backed currency and writing checks to people who no longer seek work. This devalues all the assets of those who work. This will not end peacefully.

Go to a gas station and see if you are sill somewhat concerned.

Gasoline is lower than it was a few years ago. Ordinary stable commodities like lumber are crazy, though.

Yes, but the overall trend is up, way up. If lumber goes from $30 to $105 and back down to $60, that's still a lot of inflation. And lumber isn't alone.
