The number of deaths related to Covid-19 has passed 500,000 in Brazil, the second-highest in the world, as experts say the outbreak could worsen amid slow vaccination and the start of winter.
The virus continues to spread as President Jair Bolsonaro refuses to back measures like social distancing. The health institute Fiocruz says the situation is "critical".
Only 15% of adults are fully vaccinated
President Bolsonaro has been heavily criticised for not implementing a co-ordinated national response and for his scepticism toward vaccines, lockdowns and mask-wearing requirements, which he has sought to loosen.
The opposition accuses the president of delaying the purchase of vaccines for political reasons, as he has consistently played down the severity of the pandemic.
Why are so many babies dying of Covid-19 in Brazil?
What happened when a whole town got Covid jabs?

China has a bioweapons arsenal. It sounds like they are unloading it on Brazil to ‘punish the public’ into getting toxic, deadly ‘vaccines’.
Prayers up for all in Brazil. Hold out, don’t give into the jab!
ESPECIALLY the Sino"vax".
Wonder how many are headed here to the USA ????
Ah, you want to take your misinformation campaign global now for even more unnecessary suffering and death.
God have mercy.
200,000 Covid, rest Flu. Prove me wrong.
Luckily there are countries like Israel demonstrating that they can reopen with vaccination plus natural immunity. No need to look at s-holes like most of Brazil.
That's easy. The flu doesn't kill 2,000 people a day.
Brazil failed to purchase vaccines (Sinovac does not count because it’s a crappy Chinese made vaccine). Now they’re dealing with the P.1 variant so there are some Brazilians who caught the original strain only to get hit with the P.1 variant so the immunity from the original strain is not going to help as much as you would think.

I suspect the family members of the dead (as well as the dead if they could have an opinion) would have a 180 degree opposite opinion of your belief in the value of the vaccines preventing COVID-19. They certainly wouldn’t be engaged in a jihad against the vaccines that can prevent COVID-19.
On April 6th they were at a peak of 4,211 new deaths and the numbers slid downward to 856 on June 6th. This recent surge is alarming. Brazil now has 81,574 new cases and 2,247 new deaths June 18th. Meanwhile, the government has staunchly resisted nationwide lockdowns or social distancing rules, and President Jair Bolsonaro has mocked public health measures, downplayed the virus’ severity and derided Brazilians who are cautious about Covid-19 as “sissies.” "Sissies" trumps stupid.
The loss of your loved ones will be proven to be worth it when my political agenda is justified.

Seems to be an abundance of empty heads on this thread so far. They all think injecting crap is great.
Freeper Vaxxers are morons. I work with a Brazilian who has a very good understanding of what is going on. This conjecture on this forum is typical.
“Why are so many babies dying of Covid-19 in Brazil?” Um, they don’t.
BBC. Useless company that just promotes deception and gossip.
Notice how the article is intentionally vague about the deaths directly from covid by using the wording, deaths "related" to covid, instead of deaths "from" covid.
Another attempt by the media to make this pandemic look worse than it really is.
I mean, who would have guessed? /s
Aren’t only 5% due to the Wuhan flu only? That’s 25,000. Not sure what the flu death rate is typically for Brazil.
