Following the criminal indictment of a fellow officer, the entire Portland Police Rapid Response Team made the unanimous decision to resign, according to police sources via Portland news outlet KXL.

Cory Budworth, 40, is the first officer in the county to be prosecuted for using force during a violent protest.

The Rapid Response Team is a group of volunteer officers who respond to civil disobedience, demonstrations and riots. At the time of the incident, Officer Budworth was assigned to the Rapid Response Team for crowd control.

Indeed, Budworth was indicted for breaking up an Antifa riot in 2020, charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault. He was accused of “unlawfully, knowingly and recklessly causing physical injury” to Teri Jacobs on August 18.

Ok portland. You asked for it. Guess now they will blame Trump somehow. So now what they use… people with a clipboard to take your name. If someone is shot or hurt in a violent crime a ambulance won’t come near the scene unless the police has the scene under control.

Volunteer as an additional assigned duty, not unpaid.

Portland is a CESSPOOL headquarters for Antifa/BLM. Gov. Brown has enabled the take over of the entire city, never call out the national guard, never imposed a curfew and essentially has given free rein to Antifa/ BLM!
The police have been told to stand down for TWO FRICKIN’ YEARS.
Gov. Brown NEEDS TO BE RECALLED
The Antifa/BLM headquarters and their dealings with the CCP are TREASON. Importing GUNS from the CCP at the Port of Portland is TREASON. Importing FAKE BALLOTS from the CCP to be used during the 2020 election is TREASON. The FBI headquarters in Portland is RUNby Antifa/ BLM. So are the judges, the city attorney and the MAYOR.

Portland is a ENEMY CAMP!
People are MOVING OUT.
Businesses are LEAVING.
The people of Oregon who are not Marxist communists and love the state want Portland GONE. They want the corrupt Governor GONE.

I’d love to see those assigned as political bodyguards to anonymously announce they will NOT intervene in any violent assault on the person they are guarding.

Do they not know they will be the first executed by the Marxist leadership?

They will not allow themselves to believe that.

Worse yet, some of them do not really care. They are self-destructive individuals - but they want to destroy everybody else first. They will never stop trying to destroy everything around them while they still live.

Plan accordingly.

From taxpayers - those rioters most likely don’t have jobs.

Here you go from Post 24 of 42 by Leaning Right...

“He was indicted for striking a woman with his baton while she was on the ground.

“The woman was standing in a road while the police were advancing. So the cop pushed her aside. No problem.
“Then the woman fell. Again, no problem.
“Then the cop struck the woman while she was down (it was a two-handed baton shove, actually). Then the cop just walked away.

“That last shove...maybe a problem.

That’s gay, it was easily justified. She was in the street being cleared. She was shoved back, then she was rising again, so he shoved her again. That was not a baton strike.

You’d think more cops would catch on that the city/state will not have your back

I am sure thousands of these urban cops have resumes out there--but they are not talking, just quietly doing what they need to do for themselves and their families.

With more cities looking at ‘defunding’ I see the rise in the number of private security firms. They should quickly find jobs.

I’ve got a couple local retired ones I would trust. But they’re in their 70s and 80s, spent most of their careers in a field office, not the Swamp.

As I noted earlier, it was a really baton shove, and not a baton strike. So I have a problem with news organizations who are calling it a strike, as if the cop were hitting her with a baseball bat.

But if he really shoved her to keep her from getting up, when then did he just turn his back and walk away? Evidently he didn’t care much at that point whether she got up or not.

Look, I get that this was a tense, riot situation. But I think the cop over-reacted at the very end there. Was it a criminal act? No. He deserves a letter of reprimand. And a firm slap on the wrist. But not a criminal charge.

I will jump to your defense here. The article is poorly written. “Budworth was indicted for breaking up an Antifa riot in 2020...”.

So yeah, that implies he was indicted simply because he broke up a riot. I know that it was really because of a questionable baton shove because I read that elsewhere.
