The National Park Service is once again offering bear safety tips — and that includes asking tourists to avoid pushing their friends down when bears are around.
Park rangers shared a public safety announcement Sunday on what to do if you get a little too close to a bear.
The bear will show you signs that you’re invading its space, officials said, but it’s up to you to know what to do from there.
First, you should never play dead, run, shout or make any sudden movements. You also should never push a friend down to save yourself, the National Park Service said.
“Do not run up and push the bear and do not push a slower friend down…even if you feel the friendship has run its course,” park rangers said.

When will they Ban White people from National Parks ?
Go hiking with Democrat politicians that you can outrun. You’re not a bad friend if they’re the enemy to begin with.
Like a dog, a bear is likely to keep chasing whoever is still running.
This brings to mind the story of the two hikers in the forest who encountered a bear. The first hiker sat down, pulled running shoes out of his backpack, and started to pull them on. The second hiker told him that he couldn’t outrun the bear. The first hike responded: “I don’t have to outrun the bear!”

This is why we have so many idiots running around. We don’t let nature thin our herd.
Mike Judge could have written this in as a PSA scene in Idiocracy.
“You also should never push a friend down to save yourself,”
We are paying these people....
Had a friend go outside after hearing his dogs bark. He saw a bear and when he looked, his dogs had moved so he was between the bear and the dogs. They continued to bark.
....as someone who has slept alone in the Alaskan Bush many nights by myself, I can’t believe this article is really serious............at first I thought it was satire........
Yes.
But Yahoo is run by stupid people.
I think ye ranger is having a bit of fun.
And they quit letting people give feedback to their stupid articles “to provide a safe environment”.
They have brought back comments on some articles.
