The Democrat’s abortion agenda just took a big hit.
Senator Joe Manchin (D‑WV) told Bloomberg Government’s Alex Ruoff that he will demand the Hyde Amendment stay in spending bills.
The Hyde Amendment bars the use of federal funds to pay for abortions.
Biden has flip-flopped on the Hyde Amendment.
Biden initially said he supported the Hyde Amendment but after backlash, he changed his opinion.
He then blamed Republicans for him changing his mind.

“That guy has some ‘nards, no matter what his motives are.”
his sole motive (like all of ‘em) is that he’s desperate to be re-elected, and to continue his life as American Royalty, the only way to do that in ultra-conservative West Virginia is to avoid positions that are ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED to nuke him during his next election ...

I remember when there was a horrible event years ago - I think men were killed in a mine disaster in WV.
Someone asked Manchin about ‘grief counseling’. He said that they didn’t have grief counselors in West Virginia - they had clergy.
I’ve never understood the guy, but have always had a sorta soft spot for him since then.

I do not care what political motives or games he is playing but, they will hound him to no end.
Hopefully to change parties. Even with another liberal like him in the republican ranks, it will change the whole political arena in the Nor Loch.
Right now, I might trust him more than Collins or the hag from Alaska. Might..that is.

He is doing what voters in West Virginia want. Quite a concept that’s rare today.

You can never be happy. Are you pissed that Hyde will stay in tact? You want it separated?

Who pissed in your Wheaties? I’m just pointing out that Manchin is an opportunistic, scummy political whore. Now go coordinate a nap!

I don’t care. He’s the one saving the country right now. If he voted to get rid of the filibuster, we’d have DC and Puerto Rico as states, free for all voting, 4 trillion in infrustructure, green new deal, 3 additions to Supreme Court. And God knows what else. Wake up!

Sure, I’m happy to see him playing the John McCain role in the dem ranks. That doesn’t mean I have to worship the guy.

I haven’t seen worship. You did try to take over the thread though. Start another if you need attention.

I posted a single photo that highlighted his hypocrisy. You’re the one who flipped out over it. Get a grip. Or eat a snickers.

I’d rather he be a conservative, but I’m certainly happy when he votes with us. I’m sure the dems cheer when Murkowski, Collins, Romney, Flake, McCain and their ilk stabbed us in the back, so it’s good to watch them gnash and moan when Manchin and Sinema do it to them. I wish there were more.

if he had nads, he would switch parties and become a Republican.
this would be the rarest of occasions that I would welcome a RINO into the party. but desperate times calls for desperate measures.
the enemy of my enemy is my friend......
or something along those lines
