Inflation rose at a faster rate in May than any time since the Great Recession, as consumer face higher prices for everyday goods and services.

In its report Thursday, the government said that overall consumer prices rose 0.6 percent in May, bringing the inflation rate to 5 percent over the past year, the highest level since August 2008.

Core inflation, which excludes volatile energy and food costs, rose 0.7 percent in May after an even bigger jump in April, and is up 3.8 over the past 12 months, the quickest rate since 1992.

And, even with this “higher than expected” number, it is still likely to have been artificially lowered by the Biden administration.

An inept president? Check.
High gas prices? Check.
Chaos in the mid-East? Check.
Inflation? Check.
Chaos in the streets? Check.

Now if polyester leisure suits and disco music return, we will get to relive everything that made the 1970’s so special!

I don’t know what these DC liars buy but what I buy is up easily 10% this past year. That’s just the necessities. The non necessities, I’m not buying. So many durables aren’t available but they quote you a greatly inflated price, with the caveat of when they are available you will pay the floating newly more inflated price. I don’t remember those type disclaimers in the 70s.

CostCo, once the $100 club is now the $200 club.

And, don’t get me started on gas - over $4.00/gallon everywhere in California now with a “new tax” set go to on July 1st.

Yet idiots will vote for the same democrats that are destroying their lives.

I agree that it’s more like 10% inflation - if not more. We are two in our household and what I buy regularly is what I used to pay for four of us.

I was at Target yesterday and noticed how low their stock is - empty shelves were everywhere. Saw this elsewhere too.

You’d think the Kalifornia GOP would be trumpeting the gas tax message IN SPANISH.

Poor families get Nothing from this robbery. The connected get rich from it.

So easy to get this simple message out.

Brain dead GOP i

Dems who already don’t understand cause and effect might think this is a good thing ....

As prices go up so do payroll, property and sales taxes.

Now let’s not get upset over a momentary, transitory glitch in the economy.
I know there will have to be minor sacrifices in the short run, but in two weeks we will have flattened the inflationary curve and returned to prosperity.
I promise.

I have never seen this in my 60+ years.
Clearly not since the late ‘70s under Carter.

Didn’t Real Raw News say she was GITMO awaiting trial and hanging? Like Hillary, Comey, Brennan, etc.

Funny how the dead and imprisoned are all over the news and TV.

The economy and crime tend to be hotbutton voter issues, not looking good for Dems in 2022 if the GOP can wake up.
