It’s Cribs: the 2021 New York City mayoral race edition.
City Hall candidate and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams invited the press over to his home in Bedford-Stuyvesant for breakfast and a tour after a Politico report suggested he actually lives in New Jersey.
“Welcome to my humble home. I moved here to Bedford-Stuyvesant over almost 20 years ago,” Adams said Wednesday in front of the four-story brick home on Lafayette Avenue.
He also joked that other campaigns would have easily found out if he wasn’t a city resident and that he should have offered any spies from his rivals coffee and donuts.
“How foolish would someone have to be to run for the mayor of the City of New York and live in another municipality? It’s 101 that someone’s going to follow you from another campaign,” he said.

Adams said he didn’t report the rental income on his tax returns because he got bad advice from an accountant and has switched to a new CPA.
“This is not a Park Avenue address so if you’re expecting to see this fancy, laid-out penthouse apartment, no. I’m a blue-collar guy. I have just a humble place,” he said."
This is the guy who claims "racism is woven in the fabric on America," in his TV ads. And this on the heels of another candidate (Maya something- AOC's choice) demanding huge defunding of the NYPD while she's paying $50,000 annually for private security of here residence.

By definition of you own a townhouse in any part of NYC you are NOT “blue collar.” You are upper middle class at the lowest but likely just upper class.
Besides “blue collar” USED to mean “people who do manual work” vs. executives who wore suits, thus “white collar.”
The guy retired as an NYPD Captain, Pct commander. So he is no way claimo g to be a landscape crewman. How he handles the racism thing is to be seen, but anyone who doesn’t think bigotry, racial or otherwise hasn’t been an endemic part of America is kidding himself. 100 years ago my Calabrese grandparents weren’t considered white. And in some remote parts of America they still wouldn’t be.
In NYC, if you are running for Mayor as a Democrat, it’s more advantageous to admit you a tax cheat than admit you live across the river.
never mind the fact the price the price of real estate/townhouses/apartments/houses in Brooklyn have more than tripled the past decade. $8000 a month rent for garbage.
Has the media interviewed the “bad accountant”?
It’s OK, Corey Booker never lived in Newark.
The NYC Dem primary is a complete freak show parade.
Eric Adams is getting the nod from the black activist racist Bertha Lewis. That would eliminate him from any consideration by me, if I still lived in that hell-hole.
Black plantation owners are alive and well
