No masks required, even in Costco. :)

You must not be in California - where Gov. Newsom is talking about keeping the mask ordinance until 2022 - if not permanently.

I walked into the car wash office yesterday to pay - forgot my mask, was told immediately that masks are mandatory - and was given one immediately.

I don't know of a business around here that allows anyone in without a mask. I haven't seen it.

My daughter who lives in Sydney explained how New South Wales approached the pandemic differently than did Victoria, the state Melbourne is in. Unlike Victoria, in NSW there was never any harsh lockdowns or much business’s disruption. Instead, they relied on contact tracing and selective isolation. Wherever you went in Sydney, whenever you entered a business or restaurant, you were required to check in with a QR code. Businesses which did not comply were shut down. Whenever a Covid case appeared, the infection was traced back to a patient zero, and then traced back outward to those potentially effected, who were then quarantined and treated. This approach gave NSW a slightly smaller Covid rate than Victoria.

Or she is just parroting the party line so she doesn’t have to wear a mask and still keep her job? Did she say SHE was actually vaxxed? It’s what I would do and will do if things get to that point where I work.

“ It seems to me that Australia and Canada are “beta” sites for what the so called “elite” globalists want to do to the rest of us.”

This is how they treat an unarmed population. If Americans are foolish enough to give up their guns for “common sense gun control” the same will happen here. Bank on it.

I’ve been boycotting California for over 20 years. OF COURSE they are doing crazy stuff. That’s why I avoid the state now. ;)

Of course, I moved to KY ten years ago so it’s a lot easier now. :D

I have neighbors who’ve moved to Texas, Tennessee and Idaho recently.

Don’t know how much longer I can hold out.

If it weren’t for elderly relatives, I think I’d be gone.

Notice how the brutal police surround a man who is talking and then force him to the ground. This is because of what he is saying.

Australia is lost, as are Canada and the UK. Major countries that once were countries of freedom and democracy. Didn’t take much. At the first sign of a virus the government took off its mask and showed its true face: fascism.

This will make it much easier for the islamists to take over, now that the public has been shown that if it protests it goes to jail, and that the government will help them take over.

I drove to Seattle (twice) and southern Texas - both from my home in central Kentucky - during the pandemic and walked through dozens and dozens of doors that said “masks required”. I never wore one and was called out exactly once. One guy asked me how I got away with it and I said I simply didn’t wear one and nobody said anything. His response was to immediately remove his.

Those signs are mostly “corporate orders” where they are just trying to cover their butts in case someone tries to sue them for “catching” rona in their store.

An exception was Costco. They were mask nazis. It’s why we got a Sam’s club membership.

Very true. However, when they can't get the guns, they'll probably just poison our water or gas us or something equally heinous.

My best friend from Seattle moved last summer from Bonnie Lake to the Idaho falls area. I was in Seattle for five weeks a couple months ago clearing out my parents home for sale. They lived near Fairwood. I visited with the neighbors quite a bit. The only reason they are still there is the grandkids are nearby.

My youngest daughter (33 years old) is staying because her husband’s mom broke into tears when they talked about moving away with her only granddaughter from her only son.

The stupid part of that is that his parents are snowbirds. They live in Woodinville - and in Florida. Very Jewish family. Most of the relatives live in Israel.

As a rule, I don't ask people for their medical history. Maybe she lied to management to unmask. Who knows?

What I do know is people have their own situation and I'm not going to make it my calling to make their business, my business. That's what a Karen does and I'm not joining that lot.

I was relieved when my son turned down a promotion - which entailed a move to Portland.

It’s hard to leave a place where my family has been since the early 1900s, some part of the aerospace industry that helped California boom - back in the days when California was an absolute paradise. I have some memory of it - but hearing my elderly relatives talk about how it was...so, so sad.

The bastards in the statehouse have destroyed my home state over the last 50 years.

Men with a pair also exercise restraint and self-control. Jesus picked his battles, too. Karens make other people’s business, their business 24/7.

That’s why I don’t bother with the ladies, but men have no excuse to be bending over to their agendas with no fight at all.

There have been many that have taken them off though, so it’s working, sometimes people just need to be reminded that they do indeed have a spine in their bodies.

I lived in Aneheim back in 1963, just a few blocks from Disneyland. There was a massive orange orchard just across the street.

I lived in Vallejo in 63-64. My father’s family all live in Napa. I still remember those parts of California when it was “normal”. I visited disneyland back in the early-90’s and when I went to a local grocery store, I came out and said, for the firs time, this has become northern Mexico.

Meanwhile, because my wife worked for Alaska, we used to take day flights (from Seattle) to Burbank early saturday mornings, rent a convertible, and visit the area and return on Saturday evening. Eventually we just saw the whole area as a dirty concrete and asbestos jungle covered with Graffiti and serviced by consciousness destroying traffic.

I no longer have any need to go there. It’s simply not what it was. The world is changing faster than people can cope, and speeding up all the time. This will not end well.

The legalities of wearing a mask are being presented wrong. They are not saying you are totally protected against the virus. They are saying you are highly protected. But not wearing the mask is for vaccinated people. I have entered stores like COSTCO and Walmart that don’t require a mask for vaccinated people but are not checking to see who that is. So if a person that has been vaccinated, and is “highly” protected from getting or suffering with a lesser reaction to the virus, is not being protected by the stores that are supposed to check as that is what they advertise, then how much protection do you have?

And since the level of protection has been mis-advertised by a government that is fudging all the time on the success of the vaccines, (lying), and supporting the people that got it out from China, then surmising that it is safe in these atmospheres is no better than being in an emergency room in a hospital. Would you wear a mask in there? I do.

Yeah. Masks are pretty much worthless.

And I said since they started with the vaccines that the reason they still told them to mask up was that once they gave them the go-ahead to be maskless, EVERYONE would be able to be maskless, since they can’t ask everyone in the store, randomly, as they are walking down the aisle without a mask on, if they are vaccinated.

So they “forced” the vaccinated to wear masks.

But again, with the exception of Costco, nobody forced me to wear a mask after the first few weeks. In fact, Wal-mart did REQUIRE masks, but backed down because of people like me. They just got way too much backlash.

But masks are and always have been theater.
