With a population of 25million in a land area just smaller than the USA and with only 30,000 covid cases and 910 deaths, it appears Australia is no longer a home of the free and brave.

I sent this video to a friend in Sydney, AU asking if such antics by Aussie Police is commonplace.

I got a lot of grief when I kept taking my mask off at costco. I understand it is THEIR space so whenever someone asked, I put on a mask. I’d just take it off again when in an aisle by myself.

But walking around in public. No way I’m wearing a mask.

Of course it’s all moot now. No masks required, even in Costco. :)

My daughter, who works and lives in Melbourne told me yesterday that they are now under "Modified quarantine",
since the recent covid "Delta" and "Kappa" variant infections occurred cross-town in Melbourne, Vic.
As a result, instead of strict quarantine of 5 km., the new modification allows them to travel 10 km.,: for food, chemist, medical appointments, and 1 hour of exercise outdoors.
If outside your area of confinement, you are subject to arrest or outrageous fines.
They are awaiting government information on the quarantine,as their upcoming 3 day holiday occurs this weekend (Queen Victoria Day ? )

The most recent outbreak is attributed to a non-carrier staying for 14 days in a covid quarantine hotel, and testing negative upon release,
and days later, after normal activities in the community, testing positive.
Apparently, he caught covid while in the 14 day quarantine hotel upon departure.
Their numbers of covid infections are so low, that they are able to conduct "Contact Tracing". Refer back to Elon Musk incident whereby on the same day, he tested twice as negative, and twice as covid positive; actually, the PCR testing procedure is highly inaccurate !

Even some citizens in the USA are giving people crap for not still wearing a mask. It was never that bad. I feel sorry for people who lost family and friends. The survival rate was not worth the damage done to the world. At this point the people still wearing masks and giving people crap is crazy. It’s like they want control over you.

The United States is one of the very few countries in the world that does not have full, cradle to grave, socialized medicine.

But we are quickly joining the ranks of those who do have socialized medicine.

Population wise Florida with 22 million people is just smaller than the entire country of Australia.

In Florida we have had 2.5 million cases and 37,000 deaths from covid.

Meanwhile, in Australia they have had 30,000 cases and 910 deaths in their sparsely populated country.

It seems the Aussie’s are becoming a police state. That is a shame as I have enjoyed my many visits to their country.

Ultimately the police are all about protecting the government. They do provide a deterrent to crime but on balance at this time, their presence is going to be increasingly harmful to most citizens.
