A father-of-three out jogging on Saturday morning in Atlanta's wealthiest neighborhood, Buckhead, was shot twice by a 'mentally ill' man who police say also opened fire on two other people and mowed down a neighbor with his car.
Atlanta police arrested and charged 22-year-old Gaelen Newsom with attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime in connection with the weekend crime spree.
The first shooting took place in the 1200 block of West Wesley Road in Buckhead, Atlanta's richest section, which has been making a push to form its own police force and secede from the rest of the city amid skyrocketing crime rates.

Thank you for saying that. I know that black crime is high, but there are, unfortunately, some real FRacists on this site. I cringe when I read some of the comments around here. Granted, I haven’t walked in their shoes, and I imagine some of them have been on the wrong end of some bad treatment from blacks, but some blacks can say the same about whites. It’s a complicated issue.

Hating someone because of their race IS mental illness. If a whitye person hates someone because they are red or black or brown or yellow, that IS mental illness, sourced deep in the soul of the individual and taught to them by adults as they were growing out of infancy. Ask yourself, ‘what color is the spirit?’
A lot of the rappers are just glorified gang members with an entourage of gang members. It took me awhile to figure out that that is why they are always shooting and feuding with each other.
All that hair fluffed up kind of changes the perceived ‘center of mass’.

I see your point because I do believe that the vast majority of blacks and other racial groups in this country have pretty much the same aspirations that white folks do. On the other hand, there appears to be a significant (and increasing) minority of the black population who are looking for violent confrontation. If that violence is not stopped, it will eventually trigger a violent response that could easily become genocidal. Buy or borrow the book written by Ilana Mercer entitled ‘Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from post-Apartheid South Africa’. It might change your perspective.

MY point is whenever a white attacks a black you never hear the white perp had a mental illness just that a hate crime happened.
Whenever a black attacks a white the black on white is rarely labled a hate crime but he/she suffered from a mental illness.
That the ‘authorities’ do not label it a hate crime when a black person attacks a white person does not mean it is not a hate crime. Don’t let ‘them’ define truth for you.
There has always been a segment of every color looking to start violence. Before it was relegated to the fringe; the media and academia are making it front and center.
