Gallup's March and April COVID-19 surveys found no dominant reason among vaccine-reluctant individuals for their intention not to get vaccinated. The most common reasons given were wanting to confirm the vaccine was safe (23%) and a belief they would not get seriously ill from the virus (20%). Slightly fewer expressed concerns about the timeline for developing the vaccine (16%) or mistrust of vaccines in general (16%). Ten percent said they already have immunity because they have had COVID-19, while 10% cite allergies or concern about allergies as the reason they do not plan to get vaccinated.
The one in four vaccine-reluctant adults are not distributed equally across major demographic groups:
About half of Republicans, 46%, compared with 31% of independents and 6% of Democrats, do not plan to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Americans without a college degree are much more likely than college graduates to be vaccine-hesitant, 31% to 12%.
Vaccine hesitancy is more common among middle-aged Americans (33% of those between the ages of 35 and 54) than among younger (22%) and older Americans (20%).
Love how this % hovers around the unknowable “science” of here immunity but 25% or so of the population never getting vaxxed will continue to drive leftist Covid loving jackasses into a permanent state of panic. And since these folks will be wearing face diapers until at least 2022 you can avoid them or just plain mock them.
Who cares. Just open everything up, remove all restrictions and mandate and open up our schools without requiring our children to be bound up with face masks. Choose to get vaccinated or choose to not get vaccinated… IT’S AN INDIVIDUAL CHOICE.
Dunno.
Give it two years or so, then maybe I’ll get the not-a-vax.
Maybe.
Spouse and I were originally planning to get vaccinated, but we’ve decided to go the Ivermectin route if we get Covid. I trust that group of doctors rather than Biden.
Absolutely amazed at the sheeple who volunteered to get an experimental vaccine, that uses an untested mRNA method that has absolutely ZERO research on long term effects, we have no studies that it EVEN WORKS, and evidence that it has killed over 4,000 people.
Over a cold that has a 99.7% chance of survivability, that you need a DNA test to see if you even have this cold, and almost half of us are asymptomatic.
Some MD’s are saying that those who took the vaccine have a life expectancy of 3-5 years; and I’m wondering if this is a bad thing.
Reluctance intimates that there may be some small chance someone may consider getting the 💉. Not only are we “non-hesitant”, we feel awesome that ours can go to some underserved group. Underserved why? Well, racis’ liberal progressive demonazi policies of course. Happily keepin’ ‘em down since CRA ‘64!
Well yeah. Not going to change my mind after a year.
For the record, I am vaccinated. I am in my mid-50s and not likely to be fathering any more children, so after consideration I decided the risk was acceptable. The key words in there being I DECIDED.
Anyone who wants to be vaccinated should be free to do so. Anyone who does not want to be vaccinated should be free to not do so. Minors should only be vaccinated at the express approval of their parents or guardians. Nobody should be forced to be vaccinated. Except Dr Fauci, who should get a full injection suite each week for the rest of his life.
So? The vaccine is there for those that want it and everyone who does has been given ample time to get it. No more precautions - things should be wide open and let the chips fall where they may.
Also why get a vaccine if you’ve already had it and have the antibodies?
It’s no accident that the 50% low was in September. This was when President Trump was excoriated by the fake news for very correctly estimating the timeline for authorization and availability of effective vaccines. Meanwhile, Vice President Giggles was blabbering that any Trump vaccines were unsafe
Yet we are already at 80% when you add in the naturally immune.
80 > 70.
What? all those bribes? donuts, lottery tickets, beer, and special privileges didn’t work? There IS a segment of the public that sees through the quackery.
It’s about as far the genocidal megalomaniacs’ war on humanity will go. Just wait when all the young red blooded high testosterone males in the world learn they have been rendered sterile. The megalomaniacs will have no where to go but to their grave.
We have met the point of rationality and cling to it in improbable times.
No matter where one comes from on the advisability of getting the shots, we are in a period of good news and I like it.
And I don’t believe the “you gonna die later” claim.
And I haven’t gotten any shots.
What I’m seeing in south central PA is that vaccinated or not people are in love with their face diapers.
Signage almost everywhere now reads “face covering required unless fully vaccinated” but clearly 2/3 of the folks are either unvacninated or illiterate.
