A Washington state mom pleaded not guilty Thursday to allegations that she faked her adopted daughter’s “rare” illness and subjected the healthy child to a series of unnecessary medical procedures — even forcing her to use a wheelchair and leg braces for no reason, according to prosecutors.
Sophie Hartman, who adopted the victim and another girl from Zambia years ago, also forced the 6-year-old to undergo surgeries to insert a feeding tube in her digestive system and a cecostomy tube, also known as c-tube, to flush stool out of her intestines, authorities said in charging documents filed last week. Overall, the child has endured more than 470 unnecessary medical appointments or procedures since 2016, according to the document.
Authorities uncovered the alleged abuse in March, when the girl was taken from Hartman and brought to Seattle Children’s Hospital for a 16-day stay. During that period, doctors learned the child could eat, walk and have bowel movements by herself.
“She was able to run and walk without the use of orthotics; she demonstrated no need for a wheelchair,” prosecutors said in a criminal complaint, which refers to the child as “C.H.”

Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP) is a mental health problem in which a caregiver makes up or causes an illness or injury in a person under his or her care, such as a child, an elderly adult, or a person who has a disability. Because vulnerable people are the victims, MSBP is a form of child abuse or elder abuse.
My first thought. I guess the mother was able to pay. It’s amazing just how many medical procedures become “necessary” when the money for them is available.
The DRs should be on trial here.
The health care providers may have been taking the “caregiver’s” word when assessing the child.
Who performed these procedures? The same Drs who want to jab your azz with JuJu juice.

The doctors should be criminally charged.
The “caregiver” may have been exceptionally skillful in manipulating the physicians. Diagnosis is difficult, she may have studied what symptoms to look for that she can convey to the doctors verbally, describe events and situations that never occurred.
This is a special kind of crazy.
From personal experience I doubt that more than one in ten physicians are purely mercenaries. Once she gets past the first doctor, the rest consult the patient’s “medical history” which reinforces the mother’s description.

Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy is pure evil. The one who practices vile poisoning of another in their care requires an object to satisfy their depraved desires.
Absent the object of their "attention" they present as seemingly normal people and function as such, aside from being compulsive liars.
For decades the DSM has been the point of the spear attacking Christian Western Culture by trying to normalize deviant and evil behavior.

Had many discussions with Hungarian child psychiatrist who managed to escape the Jewish roundup in WW II. She treated victims of the MSBP practice and likened them to the Mengeles of that regime. She believed that there is no cure for the psychopathic behavior.
These are the same people who can’t wait to chop up their little kids to turn them into the opposite sex.
What kind of doctors went along with this hoax?
