When President Joe Biden campaigned for the presidency, one of his signature campaign promises was a $1,400 stimulus check. The president delivered, signing the American Rescue Plan Act into law in March and authorizing a third stimulus payment to follow the first two that were issued under the Trump administration...
But despite a number of Democrats and millions of Americans calling for a fourth check, the Biden administration has now made clear that fighting for another direct payment is not a priority.
... Jen Psaki explained the White House's position on stimulus checks.
"He's happy to hear from a range of ideas on what would be most effective and what's most important to the economy moving forward," Psaki said. "But he's also proposed what he thinks is going to be the most effective for the short term for putting people back to work, to getting through this pivotal period of time, and also to making us more competitive in the long term."
Those plans Psaki referred to include the American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan. Among other things, these plans invest in infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
But despite several Democrats urging the president to include stimulus checks in his latest plans, the White House has declined to do so. And cost is likely one of the main reasons why. In fact, when asked about additional direct payments earlier in the month, Psaki said Biden hadn't ruled them out, but that the price may be too high. "We'll see what members of Congress propose, but those are not free," she said.
Biden is already struggling to get Republicans on board with either of his most recent proposals, and one of the key sticking points relates to the price and scope of the legislation...

The fairies and unicorns idealists of the left who have so far controlled him from Day 1 and pushed a radical agenda.

The more sober and pragmatic crowd that has to be in a full-blown panic at the real data. This includes dozens of congress critters in purple districts that are going to be crushed by the policies.
I question the headline. I have a hard time believing that Jen Psaki could make anything clear.
Any further pork won’t be going to the taxpayers.

Not that I’d want it here, but just posting to point out the hypocrisy of the left. Many socialist hellholes around d the world, that the left admires and wishes to emulate, payed people 1000’s of dollars per month, every month, during the virus. They are probably still. Paying, I don’t know. But the point is, our left want communism here, where the state pays, BUT, you can see how it will go IF the left ever get their way. They won’t pay like the socialist hellholes have overseas, no, our socialist gov will promise and never deliver. And even when they do somewhat deliver in an attempt to keep their socialist lie going, and keep the low info masses salivating for more socialism, they will be racist, like they were when handing out $$ to the black farmers only.
This whole fiasco is just a sampling of what Wil. Happen if the left ever realize their socialist agenda in America.

The dad thing is tht they never ever learn. They may get upset enough to not vote next time, but give them a few years, and they Wil. Fall for the lies of the left in thr elections to follow. They have very short memories, or a deep faith, misguided faith, that their party will one day ‘make good on the promises. Either way, they are suckered who fall for the lie over and over and over again.
What about the thousands of people who lost their businesses, thanks to the CDC guidelines? Can they ever be made whole?
They have to do this. Paying off lower income people returns nothing but the vote (which they will get anyway). So they need to pay off unions etc since they will then funnel money back into the campaings.

I don’t care that he did this. We’re tipping the balance
with so much spending. Reducing it was fiscally prudent.
Leftists aren’t fiscally prudent. He just wanted to grease
the palms off a different group of people.
We lost our business. We received $2000 from the SBA since the only real employees were me and my daughter. We contracted everything else out. We didn’t apply for the PPP since we had no way of validating what we would spend it on. Our expenses were low to start with. But government definitely killed our business by shutting down venues. So....I’ve been drawing unemployment and will suck every single dime out of them that I can.
