DOJ arrests four Oath Keepers in connection with Jan. 6

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has arrested four more members of the Oath Keepers in connection with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, adding them to a growing group of far-right militia members facing felony charges over the riot.

In a newly unsealed court filing, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia added the four to conspiracy charges facing members of the group, bringing the total to 16 defendants in the case.

Federal prosecutors say the four attempted “to corruptly obstruct, influence, and impede an official proceeding, that is, the Certification of the Electoral College vote” — a charge that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

Three of the men, Joseph Hackett, Jason Dolan and William Isaacs, were arrested last week, according to a Sunday court filing, while Jonathan Walden was arrested and disclosed in a filing Thursday.

In the filing, officials say Walden asked to join the group’s plans for Jan. 6, noting that he is a former firefighter “and have a K-9 trained for security patrol [82 lb. German Shepherd named ‘Warrior’].”

Prosecutors also outline that the men came in a “grand theft auto golf cart ... at times swerving around law enforcement vehicles.”

Hackett and Isaacs were reportedly among those who moved “Ranger file” through the crowd, relying on a military formation to push their way into the building.

The other 12 co-defendants in the case have pleaded not guilty.

The Oath Keepers, a right-wing militia organization with chapters across the country that espouses anti-government beliefs, has been a key focus of federal prosecutors.

The DOJ has now arrested at least 440 people in connection with the Jan. 6 riot.

It is very odd that persons of the “far right” are being identified, found and charged with the crime of “insurrection”, but somehow, not a single one of the swarm that came up over the walls and rushed the doors into the Capitol building (apparently with the full assistance of the Capitol Police) has yet to be identified, almost all of which were Antifa/BLM and their sympathizers, dressed in clothing and bearing banners that ostensibly identified them as “Trump supporters” or “MAGA”, either are NOT identified, or no pursuit of them is being carried out.

And what about the Capitol Police officer that MURDERED Ashli Babbitt? He is KNOWN to the authorities, yet nothing is ever released about the circumstances surrounding that shooting.

We’re well on our way to becoming Communist China 2.0. I read today that an “activist” was arrested in Hong Kong for organizing a demonstration to commemorate the Tiananmen massacre. Communist China has completely crushed Hong Kong, with our silence and even approval, and we have bureaucrats and in fact a whole political party apparatus here in the US that wants to emulate China and its politically directed police state.

We seem simply to have suspended the Constitution in any matter having to do with Jan 6, including the invasion of protected spheres by government spying and secret, midnight arrests, to the truly Gulag style imprisonment of the “rioters” they have caught (incomunicado, solitary, inability to contact lawyers, refusal to announce the charges against them, etc.). It’s sickening.

You’re correct. Oath Keepers is primarily composed of Veterans and active or retired Police Officers and Fire Fighters. Hence the name “Oath Keepers” meaning keeping the oath to “protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic”, that we swore when inducted.

I was there, a few hundred yards from the Capitol on the Mall, with binoculars. It was obviously going to be a shit-show when I saw flags being hung from balconies that were clearly “out of bounds.”

The Antifa provocateurs were like Indians waving blankets at the buffaloes. You have to be smarter than a buffalo, and not be stampeded into a trap, an ambush, or over a cliff.

They could come for you next. You have all the profiles. White (supremacist probly), right wing, activist, high profile.

They're just rounding up people that were 'there', not who necessarily broke any law or even entered the capitol.

This is punishment of political opposition a la Soviet Union/Communist China mixed with tons of propaganda intended to demonize good patriots who stand in the way of the derp state.

I'll grant you, there were a few innocent demonstrators that entered. Ashley Babbit, to name one. And we saw what happened to her.
