Fireworks won’t fly at Mount Rushmore July 4 weekend despite a lawsuit against the Biden administration from Kristi Noem, the Republican governor of South Dakota.
Judge Roberto A. Lange called the idea of an Independence Day celebration at the iconic national monument “appealing.”
“However this Court is not called upon to determine whether such a fireworks display is a good idea,” he said in his 36-page ruling, posted on yourbasin.com.
Lange said the country could “use a good celebration of its foundational principles of democracy, liberty, and equal protection of the law” after the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jan. 6 siege on the Capitol and the political divide in the country.
He noted in his ruling the “outcome” of the case might be included in the politicization of issues in the nation.
Noem promised to appeal the decision.

The Governor went to court but the court sided with Biden admin.
Fireworks cause global warming, and are disrespectful to other cultures, namely America haters and communists.
What is the justification for opposing the fireworks?? Aside from the obvious hatred for our freedom and independence...
So the federal government can sue a state over fireworks, but a state can’t sue the federal government over ELECTION INTEGRITY?

Yes, yes and yes again.
Governor Noem should drive a whole team out there, take over the monument for the fireworks display, putting the whole thing on livestream on the internet, then have it cleaned perfectly and turn back over the next day.
Make them come and arrest her. The amount of support she would receive would scare the living double hockey sticks out of any Democrat with a brain and they will back off.
They might vocally scream against her, but they would not dare touch her. And then she could kick off her VP or Presidential campaign with a bang not a whimper.
