By making LGBTQ a ‘special’ protected group they are doing just the opposite of their stated intent. If the goal is tolerance, don’t breed resentment.

When this song came out (no pun intended) I really didn’t understand the gay thing at all. Too young and it wasn’t part of the school curriculum. A friend, also aged 15, had the surname “Gay” and was beginning to feel uncomfortable with it. People were making fun.
This song became an anthem around the world and outsold almost every other single since. It’s easy to sing to, dance to and isn’t littered with the C, F or N word.
It’s never bothered me that a band may have gay members. It didn’t bother President Trump either.
