Does this mean that the Alaska pipeline will shut down...?
I seem to recall it needs a flow of oil to keep working.
So anyone know about this....thanks in advance.
YEP........ HEY LISA Murky.....
what do you say NOW about your buddy Biden? HUH? And what about those MASK mandates for the poor Alaskan fisherman. Wet, slimy masks REQUIRED on fishermen.
I did the same thing in March, I figured he was going to mess with gas prices and I didn’t want to spend of small fortune on an unproven fancy plug in golf cart car thrown together by a ego maniac with 30 different companies that don’t produce a single “complete” product.
I still have my old aging pick up truck that gets something like 12 mpg going down hill, I will still use it if I need to move something big or pick up something from the orange store, certainly beats daily the thing and spending $70 to fill the never ending gas tank.
I noticed the headline on Yayhoo or one of the others and they had inserted a photo of a polar bear and two cubs.
What lying S.O.Bs.s
Murky Lisa doesn’t care about the economy of Alaska...the working stiffs in the state didn’t and will not vote for the imposter.
way to tick off Alaskans and natives who are employed by such industry. Will this also affect the payments to the local tribes of 50-100K each? That’s not going to make them happy, either.
As Russia expands and doesn’t give a hot minute’s thought to what is American territory or not.
Good. Keep me and mine back to work. WTI is almost 70 bucks!
Biden promised Putin higher energy prices.
“I wouldn’t shed a single tear of pResident Xiden woke up dead tomorrow. Nope, not a single tear.’
President Dog-Face & VP Pony-Soldier & the Evil Botoxian experienced all died of Covid over night, I would shed tears! Tears of joy!
John Kerry must be having a very large party by now.
Iran is his BBF.
Biden, a true man of the people.
Not
There won’t even be toothbrushes if that happens.
We still have the F150 4x4 and I drive it a little. It’s a 2001 so it has computer controlled multiport fuel injection, plug over coil etc so it gets 15-16 mpg. I’ve had plenty of 7-8mpg carbureted V8 trucks though. Had a 90 something with a 7.3 liter aka 460 with a carb on it. Gas was cheap and I was making decent money at the time.
I’m actually a Chevy/Toyota guy but if I find a good deal on something else, I’m game. Lot of Ford lovers here so there’s a lot of deals on Fords here.
Flipping a-holes.
I think Alaskans will have a Big say about this......they all share in that oil revenue.
It will eventually effect the AK ppl, but not for years, perhaps decades. There are a lot of wells that are producing, and will continue for their projected completion. Drilling new wells, that is what is uncertain.
Current wells are in state permit zones, though test wells have probed federal permit areas, with the current political instability, and the likelihood of the same in the future, exploring and developing decisions will be made in the future much like politically unstable third world countries. Gamble the stability vs. Profits.... in something as unpopular like oil, (remember there is no natural gas involved in AK slope) will be a dicey gamble. Especially for an already aging field. Plenty of less costly, less risky, closer to market places on the planet to extract oil from.
ANWR is in the early development stages, there are already wells and infrastructure in place, with more bought and on the way. Canceled without lawsuits? There has to be a lot of behind for discussions going on with bunches of high levels.
Know that when the north slope shutsdown, the state of Alaska will fundamentally change, it would be fishing and tourism. That will not be a red state that is left behind.
The oil platforms in the strait will not supply the states current fuel requirements.
Once they stop oil they will stop the little bit of mining that goes on, including stuff on non-federal lands.
The summer of 7 dollar gas approaches.
I’ve been in the oil and gas business for almost 50 years, I know the power of a written contract. Like I said, he can stop future leasing from taking place but he can’t stop an active lease. Depending on how the lease is written it could take many years before it actually expires.
Not directly, I think. These are new leases so not likely in production yet so no immediate effect on the pipeline. Your memory is correct about a minimum flow to keep the pipeline running, but that flow is from other sources which are gradually declining.
