NEW YORK - When do I still need to wear a mask?
It depends, mostly on whether or not you’re vaccinated.
If you’re fully vaccinated, the latest guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says you no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in most situations. That includes when you’re outside and in many indoor spaces like restaurants, though you still need to follow any local or business rules.
Americans also still need a mask when traveling, including on buses, subways and planes and at airports. The guidance on masks will differ by country.
Some experts say the CDC is relaxing its recommendations too soon.
Part of the concern is that there’s no way to tell who’s vaccinated, so unvaccinated people could claim they got the shots and go maskless, said David Holtgrave, dean of the School of Public Health at University at Albany. That could cause cases to rise.
“A central mistake in public health is easing up infectious disease control efforts just before crossing the finish line,” he said.
Vaccinated people might also prefer to continue wearing their masks. Though chances are low, it’s still possible to get infected, even if symptoms are likely to be mild or nonexistent.
When you’re outdoors alone or with people from your household, the agency says unvaccinated people don’t need masks.
Since children younger than 12 aren’t yet eligible for COVID-19 shots, they should continue to wear masks indoors outside the home and in most public places like other unvaccinated people.

Since the masks protect no one better put on three for the rest of your life.
When you live under the rule of tyrants.
Wear one when mowing the yard during pollen season or when it is dry and dusty.
They ALWAYS gloss over the fact that if you've had COVID and recovered, you are also immune. Standard stuff. But they don't ever talk about that.
They really, really, really want us to take the jab.
Why?
Never
After my husband thought there were no signs, I later went to a grocery and saw indeed, no mask signs. (Still signs about “socialist distancing”.)
So, I walked in without my mask. I was only there for some 20 min maybe, but no problem. I was the only person without a mask (heavy ninny-nanny lib area).
Yesterday, I went to another store. Deliberately looked. Doorways were clean of just about any fliers - no mask signs.
Went in for regular shopping; about half-way through I heard the PA system “ad” saying how they’re so safe they make employees wear masks, and that people are required to wear masks. So I put mine on at that point - it’s the only thing they have that indicates masking. Before that, no problem, and everyone else is masked.
I’m going to keep pushing it. Maybe it’ll encourage some people to eschew the mask, and the movement grows.
Exactly.
Believe me, as a “COVID survivor”, I have been more than irritated how no one addresses us (boy did it make me boiling mad being pushed away by my oncology office).
It’s as if there are never any cases at all!
New Daily Covid Cases are falling faster than Demented Biden climbing AF-1 Staircase.

What it says on the boxes of disposable muzzles we buy: NOT FOR USE IN HEALTHCARE SETTINGS.
This was NEVER about public health.
If you really wanna push it, shop elsewhere.
And let management know why you’re doing it.
When you want to signal your virtue
Pushing it means ignoring their stupid signs and forcing the store to ask you to leave.
There are two types of people in the world: Maskless and faceless.
I’m of the former and she’s of the latter.

WRONG ANSWER
I wear one when sanding wall board or using the electric miter saw
I was involved in Contact Tracing. The masks were useless. As a matter of fact, we found that people engaged in risky behavior because they thought the mask was enough. College kids were going to parties. One of our major breakouts was nursing home CNA’s going to Myrtle Beach to party. My sister caught it at the beach and ended up in ICU. But she wore the mask religiously because she was compromised.
Crazy.
Did you all not read? Ninny-nanny liberal region. You won’t find many businesses at all that will rebel - they all love masking.
Sorry, I wear “offensive” masks to appease the dominating liberals while ticking them off at the same time. I’ve little time or energy for constant fighting.
