The White House on Monday called an early afternoon lid on President Joe Biden’s public activities after an extended weekend at home in Delaware.

The president ended his schedule of public events at 1:48 p.m. EST — after about four hours of work.

We used to mock Obama because as a Senator he just mailed it in and voted "Present".

But at least he showed up for work, even if he didn't put much into it. Biden calls it a day at noon and the press says "called a lid" as if that has some meaning prior to Biden. It never did, it used to be "took most of the day off" and if they said that ever single day they know people would be like "wtf" so they talk about the myserious 'called a lid' event.
