The problem with being a human shield, is it only works as long as the other side cares about not harming you.
1) What other military (besides the US) would give combatants/sympathizers a warning before bombing them?
2) This is the chance you take when you shill for terrorists.
3) This AP office has been providing cover for Hamas since 2006 and just now got leveled? THAT is the definition of "restraint".

This article serves as a perfect example on why I wish Israel never should have issued a warning.

Hamas doesn’t give warnings before they send missiles into civilian areas.
Where are the sympathetic human interest stories about the Israelis whom the Arabs bomb? One doesn’t read heart wrenching articles in the biased NYT and allied newsrooms about what civilian Israelis are thinking as they try to hide as rockets rip into their homes, and maim and kill their families.
Reports even from the the Arabs in that building and environs make clear that about two hours of warning were given before the Hamas/AP offices were brought down to assure everyone was out of the building. Israel puts its own soldiers at great, great risk in carrying out its standard of warning people well in advance to evacuate buildings controlled by terrorists.
Israel always notifies the targets before they attack. Any ctredit for that approach? Of course not.
The shooting started decades ago.
I consider all AP in Gaza as Terrorists and do not deserve any warning.
