American companies began to rethink their requirements for face masks after federal health regulators relaxed their guidelines this week, and on Friday Walmart Inc. made the first big move to bend to the new view.
The U.S.’s largest private employer said it would no longer require vaccinated workers and shoppers to wear masks in stores and warehouses outside of municipalities that require it. Walmart’s WMT, +0.93% new no-mask policy for its 1.6 million U.S. workers goes into effect May 18, the company said, while vaccinated customers could shop maskless immediately.

How will they know who is vaccinated?
It ain’t over till Stacy Abrahms says it’s over!
incl NYS?
Show your papers, comrade.
NO COMPRENDE!
Because illegal aliens work at Walmart and who can make ‘em get the vaccine.
You’ll have to wear a scarlet “M” for menace, since that’s what you’ll be considered by the sheeple of Walmart. Then they can laugh in derision.
HIPPA protects my health information from dissemination. It is illegal for a company to ask about your health history.
Sincerely, wow.
However, if they dare ask if you're vaccinated you can follow the truly brilliant suggestion posted this afternoon by Rightwing Conspiratr1 on another thread:
Tell them that you are trans-vaccinated. That is you now identify as vaccinated and demand they use the proper adjectives to describe your new state.
“outside of municipalities that require it”
so you might have to wait a couple weeks to find out
oops...missed it...thanks

We haven’t worn masks, at our Walmart, in months.
Or, anywhere else, for that matter.
That's not quite right. It's "It ain't over until Stacy Abrahms sings".
Just “identify” as vaccinated.
If everyone can pretend along with the guy who is Ass. Sec. of HHS that he is a woman, they can pretend we’re vaccinated.
Walmart often leads the retail way.
This is a big development. Others will probably follow suit.
Uh, no. Just as in NJ businesses can’t do anything until governors rescind mask mandates.
