Droves of Republicans are looking to primary the embattled Republican Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) in the midterms after the Republican Conference recently ousted her from Republican House leadership.
With over a year left before the Wyoming deadline to file to run in the August 2022 Republican primary against Cheney, reports show “already at least six Republicans plan to run against her.”
Recent poll numbers show Cheney to be in trouble in the next election. The Club for Growth PAC poll shows the congresswoman with a net negative image. Cheney’s unfavorable rating stands at 65 percent with a net rating of -36 percent.
In addition, 52 percent said they would rather vote for her opponent regardless of who runs against her, giving hope to challengers.

Yes, you have to wonder if some of these potential challengers are being sponsored by Cheney’s people.
The local party needs to gather those folks together soon and give them a deadline to determine who is going to be The lone Survivor. Can’t me primary time everyone needs to rally around one.
She’s not from Wyoming. Has a mail box there. Her east coast accent certainly isn’t Wyoming.
I too would be surprised if she ran for re-election. She's already set up for failure (unloved in Wyoming puts it mildly), and it would be a major humiliation following this weeks major humiliation.
CNN would be a good spot for her, they could introduce her as a Republican, and she could (figuratively) potty on all traditional Republicans in her special vile vicious way and get paid for it.
Yup they’re there to insure she wins, not defeat her.
Time to knock some heads together. Trump needs to get together with the 6 candidates and threaten to ruin them politically if they don’t agree on a single best one to run against her.
Become a commentor on CNN. At this point, why try and hide who you really are?
With five opponents, she could easily win the nomination with 25 percent of the vote. More is not merrier.

Yep. Old Lindsey Graham trick. Flood the primaries.
The repubes tried to do this in 2016 and it is how the field ended up so large. However they did not count on Trump entering the race.
In this race there is no Trump. Therefore there is no standout from the rest. The more that enter the race against Cheney the better shot she has to be the main contender. Unless something drastically changes, the more is not better in this case.
They will try this in 2024 as well.
That’s how she gets back in. Flood the ballot.
