Colonial was hacked... I get that. The pipeline had been run mechanically in the past and it’s easily run that way. So why shut it down? It doesn’t need a server to do what it has always done before.
Second thing. The pipeline doesn’t directly feed gas stations it feeds tank farms. Tank farms even if they weren’t getting fed fuel at all wouldn’t be getting close to running empty for at LEAST a month. So all this means is for some reason we have stopped trucking fuel from the tank farms. WHY....
Running out of gas at the pumps right now and not mid June has nothing to do with this pipe being hacked. Something is fishy.
At about 8:15 today, gold and silver had a pretty big spike, but it calmed down.
Tomorrow may be interesting.

There has been some weirdness going on in those two markets. there have been big drops followed by full recoveries that span less than a minute. They seem less stable than normal at the micro level. It’s as if there is some behind the scenes stuff going on.
Almost like it was planned. For folks who refuse to stay locked, we say, “Got gas?”. 🐂💨💩😕
May not be the right rail cars?! Didn't "the Oracle of Omaha", Warren Buffet, think of that before he dumped tons of $$ into the lobbying efforts against the Keystone XL pipeline so that his Burlington Northern railroad would reap the benefits?! /s
Giggly Granholm is an AIRHEAD who got this ONE THING right!
There is a shortage of gasoline truck drivers but in the Bidet’s America, everything is short now. Time for Randy Newman to put together a new song: Shortages have no reason to exist.
One of the Department’s geeks probably briefed her—she will forget the briefing by tomorrow.
When Katrina hit New Orleans, within 24 hrs the media was reporting incidents of cannibalism as food supplies ran short. Of course, it wasn't true. But the media loves a good scare, and it's easy to do.
If the government wants to cut off the supply of gasoline to drivers, just tell 'em the tank farm didn't get filled yesterday. The public will buy it. I'm not clear on the motivation, but the Left is working a strategy. That seems clear.
It sounds easy but many of the switches and gauges use electronic controls. Think stuxnet virus, they got into the Siemens controller units that powered the Iranian centrifuges. The units reported all was well but really the centrifuges were spinning wildly fast and hot until they fell apart.
I worked at a small manufacturing facility, the plant manager routinely tore out electronic components and replaced them with stepper motors and pneumatic (air pressure) gauges and the like. If the microchip fried he couldn’t fix that. But he could easily repair or replace or fabricate new a motor or valve or piston etc.
Exactly. Pipelines can be run mechanically is my understanding as well.
Any of you Dims wish Trump had won the fake vote?
She’ll walk that statement back in about 4 hours, with a tweet about “climate change.”
it also tells you a lot about their not wanting the keystone pipeline
Ask the folks in the Kanawha River region of WV how “safe” Warren Buffet’s tank trains are.
Media and gov declared a highly deadly pandemic mandating lock downs and wearing muzzles. Well, that was pretty easy.
Much more than that - many pipeline companies boast that they are investing in technology that will allow operators to even work from their home bedrooms, and how much this will save them in G&A expenses.
Ah, I love the smell of dome loaded regulators.
