New York City College of Technology will not allow students to go maskless until the end of 2022, according to the school’s reopening plan.
When students return to campus more than a year from now, they will see 100 percent occupancy but must maintain “strict adherence to social distancing and masking,” the plan states.
The plan, divided into five stages, is currently in Phase 2, which covers the university’s spring and summer terms.
In Phase 3, fall 2021, the university will operate at 30 percent capacity, and students will not be participating in extracurricular activities or gathering in lounges, as commentator Geneve Campbell pointed out on Twitter.

SO THEY KNOW THE MAGIC DATE?..............
What’s “indoc”? Indoctrination?
Why 2022? They afraid their supply of unquestioning brain dead liberals may be threatened after that?
Yup.
So even if the CDC says “No more masks required”, they’re going to make everyone wear the stupid things till the end of 2022?
Ridiculous. I’d change schools.
As before, the indoc has worked well based on the astounding number of folks who have bought the lie. And they are even considering fauxcheeze’s suggestion that masks may be seasonal. Rock on there mengele junior.
Soo, by spring of 2022 up to 10 students may gather, while a few miles away the Barcaly's(?sp) Center will allow over 4,700 in a few days and Yankee Stadium can go to 100% if everyone in attendance is vaccinated.
And sometime around September of 2022, that "end" will be pushed out to, oh, maybe 1Q2024...
Depends on what mengele junior mandates.
And a public university near me just immediately sold out of tickets for a “welcome back students ” Zac Brown Band stadium concert the second week in September. We weren’t mask crazy and, thankfully , we are nowhere near NY!
I’m hard of hearing and use hearing aids. Having a conversation with someone who’s wearing a mask is a pure nightmare. Just imagine a class where everyone is wearing a mask and some are speaking with foreign accents (remember, this is NYC). Learning would be almost impossible.
