Gasoline shortages have begun…

This is crazy. I stopped for gas just now having no idea what was happening. It’s out. People here told me they’d been to other stations and found the same. pic.twitter.com/7LDVdUXPo4

Biden had already cost gas to go up one-third, this is also on him, maybe a bit less directly.

We need death penalty and large bounties to put an end to hacking and ransomware attacks.

This should have happened here on the Left coast - watch all these liberals start crying over not being able to go about.

I am NOT happy that the idiot infesting the White House cancelled the Keystone Pipeline and that it took the incompetent imbecile dementia addled pResident Xiden 4 days to "respond" to this issue.

If it were Pearly Harbor it would take demented Joe a week. As RUSH would say, we're in big heap trouble. But rest assured, no tweets to get you hot and bothered from the other guy who stood to protect America.

I suspect the main problem facing Colonial is keeping the batches of gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel from cross contaminating each other as they restart the pumps.

I am guessing a pipeline that can pump 2,500,000 barrels per day of product holds around 10 million barrels of product.

All those people who are buying motor homes, camper trailers, etc., that are getting ready to hit the road are going to be facing higher gasoline prices & outright fuel shortages. Give it a few months and I think there is going to a lot of R/V inventory available at distressed pricing.

If I read the story correctly, the pipeline is owned by Colonial, a private company and not the govt. Colonial's system is held hostage by ransomware and the firm isn't telling the govt what are their plans (i.e. Pay or not). Colonial believes it can get the spice rolling by the end of the week.

This could have happened under Trump. If this happening under a weak, feckless President* vs Trump is causation or simple correlation is a matter of opinion.

Interestingy, the hackers posted a message on its dark web page that it would vet buyers of its ransomware in the future to “avoid social consequences.” “We are apolitical. We do not participate in geopolitics,” the message says. “Our goal is to make money and not creating problems for society. From today, we introduce moderation and check each company that our partners want to encrypt to avoid social consequences in the future.”

If you want to put on tin foil, maybe the impetus for this attack is for Bidet to waive the Jones Act, which requires ships to be built and flagged in the U.S. and crewed by American workers to transport goods between U.S. ports.

“Long lines in Spanish Fort and Mobile, AL and Pensacola yesterday. Got all three vehicles fueled up though.”

I’m in this area. I’m a recluse and don’t get out much but my son told me Saraland is having a shortage. Frankly, I wasn’t sure if that was accurate. I assumed we got gas in this area from the Shell refinery in Saraland. Maybe that gas is going somewhere else or it’s tied to the pipeline too.

Long lines are caused by panic, not supply.

When hurricane Florence hit, we were on Ocracoke and had to evacuate. We waited for the ferry in beautiful weather. The minute we hit the mainland, the weather got really bad (unrelated storm). Panic had set in and everyone was buying gas. Stations were running out all the way to Greensboro. I managed to find gas in Eden NC. All of this was because people thought the storm was the hurricane.

The Biden Administration, understandably, figured that Americans were TOO DUMB to figure out that knocking out 45% of the gasoline supply might just cause disruptions.

They probably figured that with Common Core now engrained in the Northeast, no one would catch on, and panic buy. They were right...and they managed to stretch the supply for a couple of extra days, but it’s now game over. Next stop, with this administration: price controls and gas lines.

So, for others here who still have access to gasoline, you may just want to FILL UP NOW!!!! It’s not going to get any better until the pipeline starts operating again.

“I am stunned they have not corrected this hacking problem by now. This tells me there is far more going on than is being said”

Yep, the facts are few.

President Psaki is likely working on blaming this on Trump and getting rid of Lizard.

You are right on that. It is by design. Food will be next. And then electricity. And by the time winter gets here, it will be heating gas [natural gas]. But that is what the people wanted. They wanted President out of Office[ I didn't] and they got it.

The silver to the very dark black cloud such as this id the info babes and info cucks will starve and freeze along with the sheep. I know that that they will believe that the Elites will take care of them. And were even promised that. But the Elites will only have enough for them. Abd the Elites lie. Get ready, FRiend. It is going to be a very rough ride.

“””Well, there were long lines yesterday in Spanish Fort/Mobile, AL and Pensacola yesterday regardless of barges.”””

I would guess that a lot of people traveling east on I-10 into Georgia and Florida are filling their tanks in Mobile/Pensacola to be sure they have enough fuel to get to their destination.

Likewise, the folks heading north from Mobile would be doing the same.

Look at the bright side. More gasoline sales in Mobile/Pensacola means more sales tax revenue for those cities.

Regs regarding making trucking an option to the pipeline.

This just in... the Colonial Pipeline website is now unavailable - "502 bad gateway".

Uh the way this is written,

“Interestingy, the hackers posted a message on its dark web page that it would vet buyers of its ransomware in the future to “avoid social consequences.” “We are apolitical. We do not participate in geopolitics,” the message says. “Our goal is to make money and not creating problems for society. and the way it is written. 100% its an inside job.

Sorry that is how bureaucrats talk and NOT hackers. Moreover, where they left it and it is found.

So obvious now.

Data/program hijacking is so yesteryear. Any company that does not have it’s infrastructure “hack proof” needs to have their wazoos handed to them.

I thought I heard Biden say this was a “private sector” issue so the government would not be involved in solving it.

He didn’t have the same agenda to push.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t being intentionally done to push a biden agenda.

You may be far enough west to be out of the area that the Colonial pipeline covers. Your issue is likely going to be refilling when you get home to Maryland.
