A group of serving French soldiers have published a new open letter warning Emmanuel Macron that the 'survival' of France is at stake after the President made 'concessions' to Islamism.
The letter published in the right-wing magazine Valeurs Actuelles (Today's Values) late on Sunday echoes the tone of a similar letter printed in the same magazine last month which also warned a civil war was brewing and called for military action against 'Islamists'.
French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, a close ally of Macron, slammed the letter as a 'crude maneouvre' and accused its anonymous signatories of lacking 'courage'.
The previous letter, signed by 1,000 people including serving officers and some 20 semi-retired generals, warned of the 'disintegration' of France because of radical Islamic 'hordes' living in the suburbs.

Yes, they are afraid of cancel culture and losing their pensions. If we (they) lived in a free society that welcomed open and frank debate especially on the most difficult and sensitive subjects, then that wouldn't be an issue.
Not to mention they probably don't want to have their heads chopped off while walking down the street.
The same people who freaked out over the term “hot dog” let Muslims in by the boatload. Go figure.
Perhaps the tide has turned. Perhaps the French military will do what should be done while our military academies (if we can still label them as such) will have prep our soldiers to wear high heel red shoes and make “woke” videos. And both ROTC & Mil acad grads will be blasted with a sewer pipe load of altered history and social justice classes. (As a grad of one of those, I am quite sick of the joke my alma mater has made of itself lately.)
Active soldiers doing this says a lot - it’s on the order of what our Founding Fathers risked during their day.

If this plays out, then the day of French military jokes are over.
No problem. US forces will step in to fill the gap.
Didn’t they get the memo that “diversity is our greatest strength” and “all cultures are equal?”
This could be very interesting—through Macron out, kick out Islamic Cult Invaders, but what to do with European Union? France gave up their sovereignty, will the EU stand by as they do this? Will France exit the EU? Will the EU take refugees and deportees from France?
France’s current government came into being because of a military coup.
