A Florida teen, who along with her mother is accused of rigging a homecoming queen election in her favor, is being charged as an adult, Fox News has confirmed.
Emily Rose Grover was still 17 when she was arrested in March and turned 18 last month. A spokesman for the State Attorney's Office in Escambia County told Fox News Tuesday that Grover will be tried as an adult.
Grover and her mother, Laura Rose Carroll, 50, face multiple felony charges stemming from the October homecoming vote at Tate High School in Pensacola, Florida.

High school voting fraud is a felony??? A seventeen yo can go away for sixteen years over this??
Felony? Seriously? Steal a Presidential election—nothing. Steal a homecoming election at 17 and your doing hard time.
Rigging a US Presidential election is A-OK though.

i think anyone rigging elections gets absolutely no sympathy from me
its a character thing
its theft from all the people who participate, plus it makes people cynical towards elections, and destroys trust in others and our systems of working together/voting on decisions
Homecoming Queen voter fraud can land you in prison for years. Presidential election voter fraud lands you in the White House and the vote riggers get to boast and strut with impunity.
Might get away with that defense.

Fixing a high school homecoming queen vote is a felony? It would seem more reasonable to give her detention.
I think hacking of student records is what’s illegal.
She used a computer and the Internet, hacked school account where votes were recorded.
