MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. (WLOS) — Two owners from a Maggie Valley Inn are going viral after posting what some are calling a gross message on their kiosk.
"Right now, the kiosk says ACAB, the barrel is rotten," Kitty Currin said.
She and her husband Cody Currin have run the Our Place Inn in Maggie Valley since 2015, but it’s only recent that the inn’s online presence has really exploded.
"Last that I checked, our post had reached 100,000 people,” Kitty Currin said. “So, while it's a little bit of an extreme acronym, I would say it's reached a lot of people a lot faster than anything else we've done.”
"It's basically an acronym that's come up because of years of people suggesting we need police reform, and we've done it politely,” Kitty Currin said. Which is why they said this type of message was needed.

Not enough coffee yet this morning to express the proper disgust and contempt for this action. Yes, it is their right to say what they want but it is a stain on the community's image, IMO.
Be a shame if somebody tried to rob them.
Maggie Valley is a second rate east coast ski resort with a tourist-trap type of surrounding town.
There’s about 2 weeks of decent skiing there every year.
They seem REALLY full of themselves.
FYATHYWIO
They can say whatever they want.
People can stay wherever they want, and they don’t have to stay THERE.
Good ploy. Broken down unprofitable motel provokes some vandalism and publicity. The two left wing lowlife provacateurs tearfully go on TV and You Tube as aggrieved free speech victims. A Go Fund me page is established. They collect $400,000 then move on.
Total morons. No one who owns a trailer park and motel doesn’t call cops several times a year. Maybe next time they should call BLM.
FYATHYWIO?
FYATHYRIO?
Unless W is “wrote” ;)

Says a hotel? Owners are crazy, with low character.
F* you and the horse you rode in on ;-)
Indeed, a typo. Glad you figgered in out.
A smart robber (not that there's many smart ones) would target them, knowing that the police response time will likely be much slower.
Sure - calling a whole group of people "bastards" is waaay polite.

So, in 2015, two Deep Blue state residents took their investment gains and bought a North Carolina Inn in 2015.
Not content to live the quiet life of the D-level hospitality/tourist industry, they found it exhilarating to bring NYC-style politics to their humble hamlet.
Because...they are from NYC and they know better than the hillbillies in Maggie Valley.
I hope they suffer from lack of Police response on every call.
I hope the locals drive them out by word of mouth or civil disobedience (loud music, public announcements, public gatherings for redress of grievances, etc.)
Keep in mind, cops can be \devious\ bastards, too.
Many years ago when the internet news groups were popular, there was a student at Dartmouth University who posted under the name "Archimedes Plutonium." He repeatedly trolled most of the science news group claiming that the Plutonium atom was God. Of course this lead to a large number of rants against him that basically made all the science news groups useless because of all the spam posts to somone who wanted confusion. This created the phrase, Don't feed the trolls. Decades later it is still good advice.
My Great Grandmother was Maggie Setzer of Maggie Valley. She’d be rolling over in her grave.
Good grief!
These freakshows always look like what you'd think they should look like. They never disappoint in that way.
Heavy biker presence in Maggie Valley.

I think this isn’t going to end well for the NY’ers.
Haywood County is full of good old American rednecks who won’t let this slip by without saying something themselves.
These owner’s shouldn’t be surprised when they hear jake-breaking semi trucks driving past at 3:00am or the local kids taking a spin through their parking lot with enhanced audio late at night.
The next news we’ll hear from this couple will be them whining and crying that their business is being harassed and the police won’t do anything about it.
“Family Friendly” on the sign, and yet the profane acronym and the profane sentiment.
